This language seems to be a good balance between meaningful specificity and broad intention, so that you have the best chance at gathering supporters without finding out at the end that you’ve got everyone on board but no one knows where the ship is going.

Re: Brasilia Protocol - translated

I find this observation amusing. ODF, which started its standards track late in 2002, was not designed to be 100% compatible with Office 2007. Mercy me, how did we manage to drop the ball on this one?! Remember, in 2002 there was no publicly available specification for Microsoft document formats. There was no Open Specification Promise or Covenant Not to Sue. So not only was 100% compatibility technically impossible, attempting it via reverse engineering was precarious from a legal standpoint. In my opinion, it still is, even in 2007.

Re: Cubicle Muses - BarCamp Hong Kong this Saturday!

Hope to see you again! There’s Foss.my event coming up. A good time to come up to KL ?

Re: Make Widgets from Code Snippets

Why would anyone want to use widgets? I haven’t found a use for them yet. Apart from maybe giving someone else the ability to move things in and out of their sidebar. If you are the only one needing to edit your sidebar, then it makes sense just to edit the code directly IMO. Or maybe there’s something that widgets can do that I am unaware of?

Re: Blinged. Out.

You can bling out your phone yourself with Swarovski crystals. I've seen some other similar sites, but this one is by far the best. You get the most color choices for the cheapest price. I ordered a "large bling kit" and got it within 3 days of my order. It wasn't that hard to do. It does take a little while so I guess I can understand why places that do it for you charge so much.

Re: installation | Documentation Wiki

SilverStripe templates are essentially static, valid XHTML with a few tags inserted (rather than restrictive files that you try to bash in the head to look like what you want). Configuration files are PHP Objects; you use your PHP knowledge in a way similar to Cake.

Re: WRECK & SALVAGE - HuaHua

The adjacent town has a very heavy drug vibe. There does not appear to be any industry, but low and behold there are numerous warehouse type buildings near the beach with all sorts of fancy ATVs and what not - do the math and proceed with caution.
