But I am not sure that Apple gains in anyway. And this is why your traditional media (i.e. paper, TV, radio) is still winning the game. But I dare say that even in such scenarios, Mobile internet is growing (check out the number of people, from these parts, who manage to get a post or upload a pix on youtube, FB and the likes). The reality is: where there is a will, they is a way. I remember when i first launched GPRS in MTN Nigeria. People thought it wont catch on. But I believed in the power of services like FB and Youtube to make things work. As 'technical' as mobile data is, the addictive services inspire people to overcome their phobia for technology and get into the groove of things. &lt;br&gt;One question for the networks is how they want to play the game: as facilitators or players. And so far, Nokia seems to be winning the overall battle (in terms of overall number of devices sold). But Apple seems to be leading in terms of Unique devices. There are many facets to that battle. But they are really grouped into two:&lt;br&gt;- Work: email, contacts, calendars&lt;br&gt;- Play: music, games, videos, communities&lt;br&gt;There is a new spinoff that I am currently watching to see how it plays into this market ... check out &lt;a href="http://www.familyfridge.co.uk" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.familyfridge.co.uk"&gt;http://www.familyfridge.co.uk&lt;/a&gt;. Its taking advantage of a gap that is getting bigger within the family structure - family interaction.
