I drive by every day home from work. They have moved it all outside these past 2 months. They got a new fence to fence off the music area - seems to have a pretty good stage out there and is all lawn as well (wonder if they let you bring chairs). I am always saying we should go do it. Especially once the kids are gone and the weather is nice (like now). What hippy band do they have scheduled for this thursday?

After being crappy last week about not reading the red and black (sorry) - I have decided to branch out - HAHA. Read yesterday that they are having UGA Roadblocks today (they call them safety checks) - it didnt make much sense yesterday but now that it's Cinco De Mayo - it does - especially factoring in their last one was on St. Pat's day...Yall be careful out there.

I didnt expect to get the news - I guess that's the point I am trying to make. I am pretty connected durring the week but like most people on the weekends (especially beautiful ones like this past one) I am not sitting around checking yahoo groups or watching WSB (or any other atlanta news for that matter). Which is why if you are asking the public to be on the look out for a man and vehicle - I'd assume your pool of folks who knew about it were pretty low. So to me it seemed logical that he probablly had a pretty good window of time when only lets say the police (who werent at the scene) were looking for him - thus my headstart comment. Sorry I did math accoring to when "I" heard about it to send you all in such a tizzy about a simple opinion. But other than the helicoptor (which I assumed was here for Twilight) things were very business as usual downtown...which I find strange if there was at that same time a man hunt for this guy. Thus my thought that no one was looking yet....

I dont read the red and black - ever - thanks. And I do not get the UGA alterts (as I have no UGA ties) - Nor do I live in Cobbham, that's all beside the point because never did I say No one else knew about it - I was just giving my opinion on my experience in not finding out till 6 saturday and yet being less than a mile away from the incident - and for what its worth I was not alone in being unaware of the incident. Sorry I'm not so well "connected" as you all seem to be....

I spent that beautiful saturday away from the tv and computer. As I assumed most people did.

I'm not - considering it happened around noon/1 (from what I gather reading) and I live in Athens and was downtown in athens and didnt even hear about it till after 6 pm...you can get pretty far away from here with a 5 hour head start with no one looking for you. What a terrible thing to have happen. I feel so bad for the children!!

Nuci's is about supporting the music community around here - If you have no sympathy for the musicians in this community why even bother with the survey? I know that many people in this country don't have insurance - however to say that folks who might drink and smoke and create music can't possibly be hard working or deserving of access to affordable health care is just foolish. If you are going to play that game - why not ask how much they pay for food, clothing, gas and electric, or rent. It's like saying that folks who pay for HBO or rent over 500 dollars or go to the movies don’t deserve to have a fair shot at getting good affordable health care - do you not see how foolish that sounds?

I dont know thats why I am asking. I sent the new boss and a coworker there today - they walked down from the federal building and said the tables weren't out and there was a closed sign. He thought maybe because of spring break?! I didnt think they would close for that - but who knows. That's why I am asking the all knowing Day Jobs...

Man I lost all my comments loggin in - Bullocks - but I dont want Sloans comment picture to feel lonely! So Saturday AM I went to Ike and Jane's and then over to the Home and Garden Show. I was just looking for some ideas now that I am a homeowner...there wasnt a ton there but it was only 6 bucks. A few of the supply catalogs and my recycling magnets were worth the price of admission. I did not go to the show at the melting point saturday despite it being on my calendar. I stayed in and was instead reminded how much SNL SUCKS!! It was terrible. Sunday back to Ike and Jane's (I LOVE THAT PLACE!!) to read the paper. Then I took the Husband to Victoria Bryant State Park for beautiful sunday Hike...then grilled out at the house with a few friends enjoying the later sunshine despite being not so thrilled about sprining forward earlier in the day or this morning for that matter. Is it Friday yet?

There is a tree ON My house...and we lost a TON of trees in our acre woods. But I really loved the snow and it reminded me of being back at home in Upstate NY.
