Hmmmm....wonder if SL is looking at Intel as a strategic partner....that would be a GREAT alliance and they'd both win as well as their users who are looking at SL as a business application such as myself and other professionals. A colleague has created a virtual convention and learning center, largest of its type, in SL called Virtualis. Design is a large part of maximizing participation and he can now accommodate up to 320 avatars for convening at one time. In light of the AIG "Effect" and Wells Fargo and the slashing of their meetings, this presents an ideal solution of cost-saving measures, no travel, food and beverage and the ability to engage people with teambuilding and even virtual entertainment and professional speakers all from an individual work station at an office or home-based telecommuting office without leaving a carbon footprint. As technology advances and we move toward Web 3.0, which is said to be 3D in design, we'll look at computing needs differently and how to engage technology in our worlds of work from a strategic vantage point, always focusing on goals and objectives with initiatives. </p>
