One doesn't get to be a QC as a crap lawyer so I'd exempt them from my prejudice (as lawyers anyway).

Of course one of those is a mere honorary QC: Harriet Hymen who doesn't get my exemption; she is reputed to be, by her civil servants & colleagues, a bit of a thicko. In her, case the award of QC is a political payoff and entirely meaningless: she is a solicitor though, frankly, I wouldn't hire her even to defend me on a double parking case; not so much a Solicitor-Inadequate as an inadequate solicitor.

Possibly I don't know. Jack Straw Tony Blair and several other (ex)ministers aren't washed up barristers; they were so dismal they never got the chance to become washed up. They were failures and went into politics where a ambition without competence isn't a barrier to a career.

Seems a bit sucky to have to accept all cookies just to use FB Connect in Safari. Oh well, that's bugs for ya. Still, works now.

Agree this is stupid. Like Giordan I want either Disqus user registered site user or Facebook user. This needs to be an option

I rather like the new Facebook connect login. And I keep expecting to hit a 140 character limit
