I don't think so 4C. Les just solidified himself even more at LSU and would be a complete fool to leave for Meechigan. My fellow Tiger TE may disagree, and I'm good with that as he probably has more inside info than I will ever be privy too but, say what you want...........you can't argue with results.

My problem is that we could have looked like this all year long............why now? Does playing in the SEC dictate that much change in the game plan? I would suspect that could be the case but this was a Tejas team that was on quite a roll and playing very well. To show up and play as well as they did is a testament to these kid's determination and effort to get yet another victory come bowl season.

So hats off to the fighting Tigers! Thank you for an outstanding, albeit just short of true potential season.

Thanks man. I need to come back around more often. Think Ar-kansas can knock off Ohio St or what? There's no pressure on them....Ohio St has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl so it's on them to keep that streak alive....lol.

Hey Roll.....a good game it was. For the longest time, I couldn't log on to Fanblogs for nothing. Have no idea why so I kinda gave up. Tonight I decided to do some reading on here then tried to log on and it worked.

We catered a tailgate at the game yesterday and had a blast. I have to say that every Bama fan we encountered were good folks. Even after the game when everyone was all liquored up, still the same.

MMS = Minerals Management Service. They're basically the OSHA for the maritime industry.

As far as the game, we have quite a few unaswered questions going into this season: the QB position for one. J Jefferson appears to not have progressed very much, if you look at his spring game performance. His backup, J Lee looked good in the same game but still threw a(nother) pic six. Personally, I think it was a good defensive play but it was still a pic six. The next issue is the O-line play. Last year it was non-existent. Add to that fact that injuries at RB really hurt the running game. This years RB's looked awesome in the spring game with Michael Ford leading the pack. He ran for around 140yds on 18-20 carries.

That being said, if Jordan Jefferson can be serviceable at best, and not make the dumb mistake of holding the ball too long and taking sacks, LSU will be much improved.

As for WVU, what little I know about them is that yall have some QB issues as well. And Noel Devine will be as good as ever, who should be senior now, right?

Both teams should have the bugs out by the 4th game with a settled QB. I think LSU can pull out the victory at home but needs to limit Devine to under a hundred and win the turnover battle.

Hey Ron, thx man. Missed you bunch of derelicts (sp?). Actually, just the opposite. We're way to the west of the spill but things have really tightened up in the way of compliance and procedures. MMS isn't nearly as lenient (sp?..again) as they were before the spill.

So we're really working to make sure everything is up to snuff.

I saw that. It's gonna be a damn good game. I think WVU is gonna give us all we can handle. LSU has really improved their OOC scheduling with starting the year with UNC and then WVU 4 weeks later. I love that. The same can be said for those teams too.

We definitely understand your growing pains with a young QB...believe me. These kids just need time under center. Jordan Jefferson needs to improve, as does the O-line...two reasons the offense struggled so much last year.

Yeah, the M'town game will be a much better one, as both QB's will return, barring injury. Looking forward to it.

I had to re-read the last 8 posts to get back up to speed on the gist of this convo....lol.

Zac, while I do understand both sides of the debate, it still doesn't change my stance. And btw, I doubt seriously that Kelley's wife is unhappy, his kid's college fund was ever in question and he had no idea how he was gonna meet the next light bill...even considering his previous financial stability.

But you've got to think in relative terms. To you and I, 750k sounds like a TON of money. But to Chip, it's probably average pay. To get a better perspective, imagine that it's your job we're talking about. Take away one zero and make it 75k per. Then, imagine that someone offers you 4 times that a year to come perform the same job.....because that's what happened to Chip. I don't care what your current status is, you're gonna jump at the job. At least I would.
