Actually, she won a plurality, not a majority. If she’d won a majority, she’d likely be President.

For the record, Al Gore didn’t win a majority, either. Personally, I’d prefer a two-round system. If no candidate receives a majority of the popular vote, it automatically results in a second round where the top two candidates face off against each other.

Both candidates are really quite awful, in my opinion, and neither of them deserves to be President. As far as I’m concerned, they’re both sociopathic liars who will say and do anything to get ahead and neither has even been remotely upfront about what they really plan to do. The only difference is that one of them is a complete and total buffoonish clown who’s ridiculously easy to see through.

Really, I blame the DNC and the rest of the Democratic establishment for this mess. We had a shot at a really good candidate with Bernie Sanders, but now, thanks to their BS, we’re left with these two knuckleheads.

Honestly, I have a hard time respecting anyone who genuinely supports either of them. Lesser of two evils, I can kinda get, but genuine support? Ugh!

For the sake of fairness, the Enterprise essentially has the same amount of explosive power as a Star Destroyer in this fight.

As for Luke versus Spock? Nice try, but Spock is easily able to come up behind Luke, and perform a neck pinch on him.

Best of three wins.

First is the USS Enterprise vs. the Millennium Falcon. Frankly, Kirk wins this one easily. A Starship armed with all the latest weaponry will eat a cargo ship made out of spare parts for breakfast.

Second, they have to fight on a desert planet- unarmed and with no companions. Han is nothing without a blaster. Remember, that the goddamned Ewoks got the drop on him. Kirk builds a cannon out of natural resources, and quickly takes Han down. Kirk wins.

Third, they have to fight in the cantina. Han has the advantage of shooting first, but Kirk (being the clever resourceful bastard he is) already anticipated this and has Spock deliver the Vulcan neck pinch before Han can even touch his blaster. After which Kirk and Spock encase him in carbonite and give him to Jabba the Hutt in exchange for an alliance with the Hutts against the Klingons. Kirk wins.

The only fight Kirk could possibly lose is a gunfight. But even then he’d figure out a way to win, because he doesn’t believe in losing. Han can’t even hold his own against teddy bears.

“Star Trek”, simply because James T. Kirk, Spock, and Leonard McCoy are much more interesting characters than Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia are. Although the “Trek” universe is not realistic, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy usually act in believable ways within that universe. Luke, Han, and Leia are pure cardboard. William Shatner is totally badass, and one could envisage him winning battles. Whiny Mark Hamill? Puh-leez. Look at how quickly Spock deposed of enemies with his Vulcan nerve pinch- easily the most imitated gimmick for kids who play science fiction games. Now remember how quickly Darth Vader defeated Han? What, five seconds? Hell, even McCoy often contributed to the mission, either by healing somebody, or by figuring out things the other characters couldn’t.

And furthermore, you always got the sense that these people knew each other. They had actual chemistry. You never got that in “Star Wars”. You can imagine Kirk and Scotty engaging in boys-will-be-boys poon talk about, say, Uhura. Can you imagine Luke and Han doing the same over Leia? Even before Lucas infamously retconned it to make Leia and Luke twins? Of course not.

That is why “Star Trek” always has been and always will be vastly superior to “Star Wars”.

I voted for Gore in 2000 (my 1st election), but if I could go back in time, I would have voted for Nader.

Cosmo & Chris are right. Nader did not "steal" votes from Gore, rather he was the Democrat in an election in which the 2 main candidates were Republicans...Bush was simply further to the right than Gore was.

In '04, I became disenchanted & simply stayed at home, as Kerry had no vision, & said that he would continue the War in Iraq & not change a damn thing.

It is the job of candidates to win voters over, not to bitch "Nader stole it from me!" when they fail to inspire people to vote for them. If they cannot do that, it is their own damn fault when they are not elected.

Well, actually Obama has more experience getting things done and working with people than the Hillmeister, albeit on a local level.

And Ike, a Republican, worked hand-in-hand with a Democratic Congress, perhaps the last Prez to work hand-in-hand with the opposite party, or, as modern politicos from both sides would call 'em, the enemy. So that boosts Obama's message of bipartisanship. Also, there was a "Democrats for Ike" movement behind him nearly thirty years before Reagan. So good, good. Who does Hill have? George McGovern?
