Yay! I am in the process of switching. I started with Blu, and didn't really like it after a few days (maybe a week or so) because the batteries don't last and they tasted "burnt" (they didn't at first, though). Anyway, I wanted to try something else and have ordered the Halo G6. If that also is no good, I'm definitely going with Vapor King (wish I'd remembered this post before I ordered the Halo.).

Re: To Readers, Friends and Bloggers

Maggie, I am so sorry to read this and am certainly praying for your son, you, and your family. It's really great, and it was super easy to import all of my Firefox data to Pale Moon. I'm a happy camper, and very glad to have uninstalled Firefox for its bizarre hypocrisy on tolerance and diversity, apparently this doesn't include diversity of thought; march in lock step or lose your job! Um, no. I'll just move on to a browser that I feel more confident is truly supportive of a free and open internet, one that includes diverse opinions and worldviews.

Re: Adrienne's Corner: Use Firefox? He noted that we should use their own tactics against them because (to paraphrase) you have to fight fire with fire. He also said that the problem with ignoring this stuff is that soon it will come to government, and Americans will be crushed for their views if they are not in line with the far left.

I'm sort of sad to admit that I've come to think the same way when it comes to pushing back against the "gaystapo" and the whole PC/multiculturalism machine; I would love to be able to remain silent and not stoop to their level, but that just doesn't work. In some ways, I feel like our doing that for so long is what has led us to where we are. That's not to say I don't see where you are coming from and feel torn because I do (on both counts), but I'm really done with the bullying and craziness. That's why I supported the Duck Dynasty dude, too, it's time to push back and support those who are attacked by leftists, publicly shamed, denied their livelihood.

Here's the link: http://nicedeb.wordpress.co...

Re: Adrienne's Corner: Use Firefox? I don't advertise it, it's a personal decision that I made based on public comments that I found outrageous, insulting, or downright dangerous. This thing with Firefox, for me, falls into all three categories, and I uninstalled it (aside to Adrienne, I didn't get an email ordering me to do so, or I would have responded as you did).

I went with Pale Moon because, as you note, Chrome is Google and Safari (which I didn't consider or think of) is Apple.

Re: Adrienne's Corner: Use Firefox? I tried Opera but couldn't seem to get it to do what I wanted. But with Pale Moon, it just imported all my bookmarks, add-ons, etc. at the click of a button. I would not go to Chrome because that's still Google (huge and vocal Obots) and didn't think of Safari.

Re: Idaho Has Declared It Won't Obey New Federal Gun Laws

You (Roller) seem to assume that any and all federal laws are constitutional (and we aren't really talking law here but regulations (i.e. not passed by Congress and therefore not adhering to them is not "unconstitutional.") . Even if Idaho were refusing to uphold actual law (i.e. that originated in and passed by both houses of Congress and was signed into law by the President--you've seen School House Rock, you know how bills become law, right?), the constitutionality of said law is not determined by Congress.

Indeed, Congress is increasingly proposing laws that are unconstitutional or that are "borderline" enough to be brought before the Supremes. Remember, Pelosi's dumbfounded "are you serious? Are you serious?" response to someone asking if Obamacare is constitutional? The correct response is, yes, I'm serious, and Congress can and has passed laws that have been deemed unconstitutional (in whole or in part) by the Supreme Court.

Furthermore, there are conceivable instances in which a bill can be passed into law AND upheld by the Supremes but still be a violation of our God-given, unalienable rights. For instance, let's say that the regressives take the House and keep the Senate in November. Let's further say that this new Congress passes a law banning . . . oh, I don't know . . . let's say, any and all criticism of the president. Let's say the president signs this into law, that it is challenged, and that the Supreme Court upholds it. Is that law constitutional? Is that a violation of our God-given rights? No. And yes. Period. Some things are not open to semantic intellectual gymnastics. The First Amendment is one of them. The Second Amendment is another.

Re: Transitioning to a New Political Party

That's exactly the problem I spotted, too. Of course, at this point, they've lost all credibility on almost every single issue related to executive branch power.

By the same token, we on the right were far too complacent about the amassing of power in the executive branch that took place under President Bush. I know why I (then, not now) supported The Patriot Act and other questionable things that President Bush did, but seeing what happens when those powers are in the wrong hands, I am very clear that supporting that amassed power in the executive was a huge mistake. Huge. And one I will not make again, no matter who is in the White House.

Re: Why I'm Getting Sick of Defending Obamacare

The real reason you are sick of defending it is because it's becoming abundantly clear to anyone and everyone that thoughtless, sycophantic propaganda doesn't work in the face of the real harm this law is doing to millions of people across this country. All the ads/commercials, columns, and lies in the world won't change what people are experiencing in their lives as they lose access to their doctors, lose the plans they liked and were assured by the president himself they could keep, learn just how expensive these "better" plans will be as they add up their premiums, co-pays, and deductibles, and come to the realization that everyone who said this would be a national disaster back in 2009 were not only right but vastly underestimated the scope of the destruction it would cause.

Where were you when this travesty was being "debated" or when it was "deemed" to have passed and shoved through on a budgetary gimmick by Harry Reid (after Scott Brown's election to Ted Kennedy's seat in MA)? If we're speaking generally, then, yes, I agree. If we're speaking of Christie as a 2016 GOP nominee (and that's basically why there's any interest in this), then no. If that's the new bar for America's presidents (they don't lie--as much as Obama--or hate our military / country), then we're in real trouble. Far worse than any of us imagined.

Christie is just as corrupt, petty, tyrannical, spiteful, and big-spending, big government as Obama. As such, he--like Obama--is unfit for the highest office in the land. I don't care how much he loves either the military or the country; Christie's a non-starter for me.

Re: Michelle Malkin | Accountability update: More heads have rolled over ‘Bridgegate’ than the IRS scandal, Benghazi and botched Obamacare rollout combined «

From this article (where I am commenting) and others claiming that Christie's "held accountable" those responsible.
