The Báb was supporting equal rights for women in His writings, even before Tahiréh recognized Him. Both the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh, as children showed signs of a holy and Christlike life, even to the point of a young (age 12) Bahá'u'lláh arguing a case before the despotic Shah, and winning.

The problem with being associated with a new religious movement is the vast amounts of misunderstanding, and confusion associated to it by people who, having not yet studied it much, ascribe beliefs or aspects to it which may not be accurate.
