We were using exaggeration in an attempt to create a tiny funny. Of course the end of Fringe is nothing like rape. And of course a human cannot literally be raped by a day of the week. We understand this and wrongly assumed our readers would, too. Our bad. It's been changed.

I just have to respond to this because there's too much here to ignore...and you seem like a nice enough guy, so I'd like to make sure you get it. I'll go one section at a time.

The disclaimer is there, Ben, with the hope that one might better understand what they're getting into BEFORE they start reading...or at the very least, completely prep themselves for their eventual disgust.

Wrong. Almost everything in the above post is opinion. The only facts are the quotes that I pulled from the newsletter itself. You could argue that it is ALSO filled with cheap shots, but that doesn't restrict it from being an opinion. In fact, your thinking that taking cheap shots at somebody you don't know automatically makes something not an opinion is, well, an opinion.

Here we go! Finally, we get to it! See, Ben...this is the real issue you have with the post. It's not that this one isn't as playful as the rest. We haven't suddenly become 50% meaner. You have a problem with this post because, finally, we've gotten to one that you have a personal stake in. This is what always happens, by the way, so don't feel bad. People come and they read this blog week-in, week-out and have a good ol' time. Then, they read something that's making fun of what they're personally invested in; a show they're in, a theatre they work at, a bookstore owner they're friends with. And it's at that exact moment that the blog stops being fun and becomes "mean" or "shitty" or "cowardly". It's understandable, I guess, but that doesn't make it any less hypocritical.

You're totally entitled to state your opinions in the comments section of this blog. I'm glad you did. I don't need to agree with them any more than you need to agree with the posts.
