I took that scene with the black man's corpse a different way. The ones who are shown to be inhumane -- "demons," if you will -- are the ones who are treating his body (not to mention the truth behind Nasir's murder case) so cavalierly. It wasn't meant to be funny, it was meant to be horrifying. I did notice that it only seems to be black people spewing Islamaphobic slurs, though. Nice try, writers.

Oddly enough, the husband and I were wondering whatever happened to the Neelys yesterday, and then lo and behold, this was on TV. We only caught the last few minutes, but that summit was super uncomfortable to watch.
