I definitely want to give another medal for DeMarcus Ware. I tend to take him for granted because great performances from lesser players warrant most of my attention due to the rarity. Ware is consistently excellent, I don't worry about him and so, my emotions don't sway to his game.

But without Ware, the numerous holes on the Cowboys defence would not be masked by any stretch of the imagination. His all-around play allows the Cowboys defence to bend and not break. Ware breaking his blitz pattern to cover Frank Gore on the screen in OT was the main reason Jay Ratliff got the time to sack Alex Smith. Ware and so far, Sean Lee, will be the main defensive cogs to keep the Dallas Cowboys afloat until the team gets fully healthy, if ever.

Realize that guys like David Cooper continually get "shat on in the minor league system" because they kind of belong in the minor leagues.

Using guys like Cooper to compare Snider with is the reason there's a large pocket of fans who still believe Jon Jay more than makes up for Rasmus' trade.

The most distressing thing about The John Farrell Experience so far is that the fires of Cito City is starting to burn out.

I have my doubts that Alex Anthopoulos will openly start criticizing his manager just yet. After all, it was AA's ultimate decision to hire Farrell, and I wonder if the Blue Jays are using this "write-off" year to also let the manager develop, too. And that is a scary proposition.

I could see this as a great role for JGL. JGL fits Deadshot's build, and could easily play the cool, arrogant, but weak profile necessary of Deadshot.

That being said, considering Bane as the other villain, Deadshot would likely not appear in Dark Knight Rises.

I'm not sure it's that much a disrespect to Heath Ledger, since the Joker himself as a villain is arguably the most famous bad guy in comic book lore. To "retire" the Joker would be unfortunate for any Batman franchise.

Ultimately, Heath Ledger, utterly brilliant in his portrayal of the Joker, does not (nor should he) have exclusive rights to the Joker.

I think the timing of this deal comes into play though. Hate to bring hockey here, but doesn't this sound sort of similar to the Phil Kessel trade? Kessel is a premier sniper, a known commodity as a bonafide goal scorer. But given the Toronto Maple Leafs position as a "rebuilding" team, the Leafs probably shouldn't have made the trade.

Not only does Greinke dent a Jays farm system that has just risen recently and still not terribly rife with depth in terms of stars, Grienke still falls into the category of a type of player a contender seeks out. Greinke's a known star, but he'll arrive on a team lingering with offensive questions in Lind, Hill, and Bautista for starters.

That being said, I'm actually just hung up on Travis Snider in this assumed rumoured deal. Otherwise, I wouldn't be that concerned about the prospects being given up due to the calibre of player Greinke is and his place on the Blue Jays.
