I really enjoyed listening to this, esp. hearing Shea's tip about helping others acknowledge where they are in their journey rather than beating themselves up for not being totally 100%. I think that is a crucial point that people forget since we are taught in our culture to criticise ourselves for not "being enough". Upgrading ourselves to the positive in life formations physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally is what this Awesome Rawsome adventure is all about.

Enjoy the rest of your trip, Wendi and KDcaT! Much love to you, both, Tracey

Re: Fun-Filled Friday: Fooled by Cacao!

I use 3 tablespoons a day in my cacao smoothies! <grin> Talk about blissful feelings! And when I go off of it, I have no problem! And when I go back on, I still do not feel much different. Maybe I have a high tolerance, who knows.......but happy, I am!

I do not consume as much cacao in the summertime as there are so many good things to eat in my yard and gardens.......so maybe over the winter, I am just helping myself to feeling good until summertime comes.

Re: Fun-Filled Friday: Fooled by Cacao!

COOL.........I give that a "double cacao thumbs up"! Why do you think women love this stuff so much (we are more intuitive than men in the feeling department, or have been for a long time, and now, thankfully men are catching up with us)? And esp. this time of year, when lacking the sun (which greatly helps elevate the mood) why question the great feeling that you get? Great feelings are just what they are and even if the cacao has a lot to do with it, it is a food! It has not been altered, it has not been processed, it is a direct product from our "Happy Spirit" in the Sky", etc. I would not think it a sense of failure at not being able to raise one's happy vibrations without it, but just an aide to blissful feelings (as we are connected to this earth just like everything else and these things are here for our enjoyment)! I would rather be a Cacao Junkie than any other kind of Junkie!

I am sure that Joe will be along to help you out with this one! <grin>

Re: Special “Cooked” Birthday Dinner!

WOW, does that look great! Have been there and done that on both bathroom and kitchen sinks to the tune of well over 350$, and now, my kitchen drain is leaking so I am remedying the situation with a bowl underneath and dumping outside until further notice!

As far as your site loading......working great now, so whatever you did, Bravo!

I really have no suggestions just comments to the tune of "thank you" both Wendi and Jim for making your daily articles such a joy and pleasure to read. It is something that I look forward to every evening! I feel that this web site is one great big family of support in learning the living food lifestyle, sharing all aspects of one's being physically, spiritually, emotionally and psychologically! It is a web site that I truly feel "connected" to with very down to earth and loving individuals.

I am greatly appreciative of all the time and effort to make this what it is.

Blessings, Tracey

Re: Pure Jeevan Hitting Chicago This Weekend. Suggestions Anyone?

WOW........how fun, Jim and Wendi! I spent my 6-8th grade years in Chicago! That is great you will be visiting the Windy City! I ordered some wind over the past several days here in Pittsburgh, not knowing that this would get you primed for where you are headed, esp. this time of year! I remember driving in to visit friends in the early 70's and hit a great big snow storm when I almost reached my destination. Now, don't let that scare you! I lived in Barrington which is northwest of the city, if I remember correctly. I know the museum is really nifty and same with the zoo (but scratch that one off your list for now). It IS a great city to visit, so enjoy! I remember there was a great pizza place and steak house, but those would not be on my list today! Wish I could help out more! Any rate, enjoy yourselves and have the greatest time ever!

Re: A TGIF Post: Your Health is Yours!

Beautiful!

Re: What to Do When Others Are “Concerned”

Very nice, thank you! Well, being radical is my middle name at times so am very excited for you! Cannot wait to hear of your success.......and it will be! Many blessings to you and your family and have a great Thanksgiving this year. I am giving thanks to you and, also, for Jim for taking over while you get your health back. I have learned so much from your web site and your friends over this past year! Looking forward to an even better year for all of you!

Re: Pumpkin Pie

Thanks, Jim........cannot wait to try this recipe tomorrow! Thank you! I just love homemade raw salad dressings and make them all the time! I think your series has been awesome and hope that you will do this again!

The experimenting is what makes this fun, too! Sometimes, mine do not come out like I wish, but the process of tweeking them brings out the creative ingenuity of the chef!

Re: There’s Nothing You Need to See on the News!

I basically stopped watching the news when my two children were born (30 years ago........oh, my, am I that old?), but have on occasion tuned in to discover to my horror at what I was missing. And that I gladly do on a daily basis. Most of my friends who know me well will sometimes email me if there is something that they think I need to know. As a matter of fact, I did not know about 911 until 5pm that day and was told by my friend in Ireland as we chatted on Yahoo Messenger.

I have had friends in the past tell me that I need to be informed about what is going on in the world.........I usually reply "why should I want to know, I live in a beautiful world (except for the struggles of the outside world in regards to my disabled brother's care)". It has been difficult for me over the past 7 years in that regard, and I do not wish to add to it.

Living the Living/Raw food lifestyle and all the beautiful people that I have met over the past four years is where I wish to continue to be. They are the ones that help keep me balanced and in tune to life, not the death that we have come from. I can only see good in all that all of us are doing, and can see this spreading love and joy throughout eternity.......and more and more people joining on this path.

Re: Meet Joe Prostko, Who Has Eaten Almost 50 Pounds of Raw Cacao in the Last Year!

OMG, Joe.........I just LOVE your costume!!! That is absolutely awesome! I am dying here enjoying every minute of your attire AND interview! You will have to take that out to California and meet up with Steve and the two of you (he with his Costume), what a team you would both make! What a blast of Raw Cacao Chow!

I am having too much fun here (must have been my cacao smoothie this morning, and boy did I make it dark and yummy!) And your recipe, Joe? You make me look like a beginner! Now I put in quite a few of what you do......but will have to explore even further all the delightful things you add to it! This great stuff!

Oh, and thanks for mentioning me, neighbor! How dear of you........but then I think you know how much I enjoy having gotten to know you over this past year and look forward to more of the same!

Nothing like living life in blissfullness! This was the first summer that I have grown mint and have dearly loved putting it in my green smoothies (with canteloupe) and really enjoyed in my chia seed pudding. We have come so far from the days where Doctors came to homes to treat patients, and the ones that I knew personally came from compassion. (trying not to disclose my age here...no, it was not horse and buggy! <grin>)

I am happy that you have found an L.DAD (Lyme Disease Aware Doctor) that will set you on a course of healing along with all the wonderful things you are doing at home for yourself, Wendi. Area Raw Meetup

WOW.......what a marvelous time all of you had by the beautiful pictures that you posted! And what a fantastic idea in combining two area Raw Food Meetup Groups at one centrally located area! Love it!

And how true it is that no matter where one is one can find others of "like mind" in any city through Meetup.Com. I was fortunate to hook up with the Richmond Raw Food Community several years ago while there and meeting Matt Monarch and Laura Fox (who introduced me to a lovely man that is helping my brother with Healing Touch and Kangen Water in Richmond), Rob Murray and others. This past year I attended a raw food potluck in Richmond and met even more beautiful people.

I cannot say enough how loving it is to share with all of these people a lifestyle that I have chosen for myself.

Cheers to all in better health! Thanks for sharing your event here, Wendi and Jim. May there be more to come in the future.
