A born again believer now has the power to say no to sin every moment of every day. Does a born again sinner still sin? Yes, until we receive the new body and are totally separated from the presence of sin, we still have a sin nature. The difference is that we now have the power to say no to sin. We must choose moment by moment to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit and we will not sin. When we choose not to listen to the Spirit and sin then we have no one to blame but ourselves because we now have the same power that resurrected Jesus from the dead in us, which gives us power to say no to sin and not sin, always.

Re: Sceneta de Crăciun 2010 la Biserica “Bunăvestirea” din Chişinău

Multumesc Lenutei pentru creativitate si dedicare in a crea acest spectacol. Fornication is the Greek word "pornea" which means any form of sex outside the limits of marriage (adultery and homosexuality are under this umbrella). Interestingly enough, the English word "pornography" comes directly from the Greek word "pornea" placing porn in the list of forbidden things.

To be very honest and blunt, what is the point of porn if masturbation is not involved? One sin leads to another and then another. It is like a chain reaction.

The Scriptures gave birth to the Church, not the church to the Scriptures. From the very beginning your argument is incorrect because the foundation is incorrect. Not all of the teachings of the Catholic Church are the teachings of God, revealed by the Holy Spirit. God’s revelation is complete in the 66 books of the Bible. There is no need to add to what is already there. Our calling is to study what is there in the Bible, understand it, and apply it into our lives.

You seem be confusing Christianity with a denomination. Christianity is the same as it was when it began almost 2,000 years ago. Do not base your judgment of Christianity on one denomination or group. You need to base your judgment, once again, on what the Bible says. If you want to know what a true Christian is like then read the New Testament of the Bible (I assume that you have not from the things that you have written here).

All people are born into damnation because of sin. We are all sinners from birth and the wages if sin is death, separation from God, or in other words damnation. The only hope for us is salvation through Jesus Christ. Through His death on the cross, He paid the price for our sin. He also resurrected from the dead to give us a new life of obedience to God. When we accept Him and believe in Him, we are no longer dammed and we have freedom from the power of sin. We are able to say NO to sin and temptation all the time.

Christ is only in those who repent of the sins (feel remorse and turn away from them) and dedicate their lives to following the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you have never done this then Christ is not in you.

Hugging and kissing a person with whom you are not married easily leads to temptation and sin.

Jesus was against hypocritical religion (do as I say not as I do).

If you say you love someone but ignore his or her sin then you are deceiving yourself, you really do not love that person because true love does not let a person destroy himself in sin. Not confronting homosexuals with their sin and its consequences is hatred to them because they are self-destructing, if you care for homosexuals then you will warn them of the dangers of their lifestyle and show them the hope of salvation and transformation that Jesus Christ offers them. Homosexuals are condemned because of their lifestyle just like every other sinner. If they do not repent and turn away from their destructive lifestyle then they will self-destruct and then eternal damnation awaits them.

If you are a homosexual or a fornicator (having sexual relations with someone to whom you are not married) then please do not call yourself a Christ-follower. First repent, stop sinning and living in sin and begin to follow Christ as the Bible says.

I came to the wedding bed a physical virgin. I was immoral in my mind before becoming a Christian and also had sexual experiences (again let me emphasize that I never had sexual intercourse). I did apologize to the girl but I was already married when I was taught what the Bible says on the subject. There was no need to marry the previous girl. Plus my experience with her happened before I became a Christian and a new creation. God forgives all things from your preChristian days when you repent and are born again. After repentance God will forgive you but at the same time there are consequences to your actions that remain. The best thing for you to do it marry the girl you are with now so that you will not but yourself in constant temptation and sin because as I said, God forgives but the consequences remain. If you are in covenant with God then you must be obedient to Him totally, in every aspect of your life.

As for the Seattle guy, he has already become one flesh with his girlfriend and more than likely taken her virginity. The Bible explains the procedure if this happens, go to the father, ask for his forgiveness and marry the girl if he allows it. That is not my idea that is God's plan. That is the consequence of previous sin. God allows us to choose our actions but He gives the consequences.

Re: Predică: Fiţi ca şi copilaşii ca să moşteniţi Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu (Marcu 10:13-16)

va multumesc foarte mult pentru predica. The site that you recommend is terrible. First of all, they are afraid to let anyone comment to disprove the lies that are propagated. Secondly, they are typical atheists, knowing how to manipulate what they do not understand to make ridiculous conclusions. All atheists use the same tactics that their father, the Devil, uses. Lies, half truths, and deception.

Re: What is sexual immorality?

The Old Testament (Gen.2) explains that sex comes after the man and woman have been joined together (what we call marriage today). So it is understood from that explanation and the explanations of the words used; like fornication and adultery (both are sex outside of marriage).

Jesus quoted Genesis 2 directly, so yes Jesus did teach that marriage is first and then sex.

Re: What is sexual immorality?

What do you study and what kind of work do you do? (hope that is not too personal, just curious).

Being logical and rational is very important when looking at faith. God never wants us to blindly accept what we do not understand (not that we can ever fully understand God but He has given us enough info in His Word).

As far as absolute proof, what more do you need than the resurrection? I would recommend you read the following book “The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus”. You can find it at http://www.amazon.com/Case-...

I would advise you to start searching right away. Get to someone who can teach you how to study the Bible inductively, precept upon precept (http://store.precept.org/de...

The Bible was originally written in 3 languages; Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. It was complied to form what is known as the Bible today. Those Scriptures have been translated many times over the years into many different languages. In the English language there are several kinds of translations; word for word from the original languages, thought for thought of the original languages, paraphrase of the original, etc. I would recommend a word for word translation from the original because you get the closest to the original even if you do not speak/read/understand the original languages. There are also tools that help people who do not read/understand the original languages of the Bible, compare their translations to the original in order to discover the intended meaning of a word in the original. Check out this website for tips on studying the Bible in your own language with help from the original languages (http://www.biblestudytools.....

The reason that there are many denominations is because not everyone studies the Bible for what is there. Instead, they have their own preconceived theology that they filter the Bible through. When this happens people can be confused and misled about the Bible says, and also about what is actually written in the Bible. Some people hold to teaching that they think are in the Bible but actually, those teachings are from their theological background and not even in the Bible. There are other mistakes that people make because they do not study the Bible, but instead, listen to what other people say about the Bible. Here are 2 prime examples. Many people believe that the fruit that Adam and Eve ate while in the Garden of Eden was an apple. The Bible actually does not say. The only words that is used is fruit. People assume that the Bible says it was an apple. Another would be the prophet Jonah, when he was swallowed by a big fish. Many think that the Bible says he was swallowed by a whale. That is simply not correct.

The Bible that I use is the NASB (New American Standard Bible) which is a word for word translation from the original languages (http://www.biblegateway.com... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Re: What is sexual immorality?

I am glad to have a rational conversation with you. I lived in Seattle for a year (off topic but thought I would share) as a missionary. I love the area and want to visit some day with my family. I served as a campus minister at Green River Community College. Now back to the topic at hand.

I do not have my own version of Christianity. I was raised in a very religious environment where many people considered themselves Christians (not based on what the Bible teaches, but instead, based on what they wanted to believe about Christianity. I was right along with everyone else. I was not a Christian and realized that when I repented and was born again (became a new person from the inside out). I follow the only true form of Christianity, the one clearly explained in the Bible. Personal faith and belief do not make you right or wrong. I really feel that you have bought into the lie of relativism (everybody is right because they believe, there is no black and white, right or wrong, everything is right because you believe it). Terrible worldview and completely impossible because of it is illogical. You can have all the faith in the world in the wrong thing and the thing will continue to be wrong. I hope that you understand the logic behind what I am saying. Have you ever studied logic? I have many times so if there is a need for more explanation then please let me know.

I know Mars Hill Church very well. Not all Catholic Churches are the same. There are Churches that do not have anything to do with God in the Catholic denomination just like there are in any of the major denominations. But on the other hand, there are Catholic churches that follow the teaching of the Bible, just like the other denominations. So painting with a broad brush is not encouraged. I do understand your complaint. People with evil intentions have been around since the beginning when sin came into the world. The Old Testament speaks about them, especially the ones in the Church (universal) and what will happen to them because of the fact that they turn people away from God.

I understand what you are saying about your girlfriend because I had a similar situation in my past, before I became a Christian. I had a girlfriend for many years whom I swore up and down that I loved. I rationalized my actions based on “love”. Once I came to my sense or in other words, saw reality for what it is, I realized that I did not love her and only used her. I had to place my pride aside and admit that I was wrong. That was not easy but it was very freeing.

You wrote, “And I will admit that sometimes I change it to fit what I think God will judge me on,” Do you realize what you are admitting to? The fact that you know better than God or worse that you think that you are equal with Him.

Why are you envious of what others have? Do you realize what the 10 commands teach about coveting, being envious of what others have. By the way, what are you doing to help the starving 5 year olds instead of judging what others are not doing? I know these are tough questions but I would encourage you to think about them.

As far as insurance goes, the total profit of the insurance business is 10 billion a year while Medicaid alone wastes over 60 billion a year. One has to earn every penny of that 10 billion while the other does nothing but take from others and then waste. Which would you pass judgment on?

Sex outside of marriage is wrong if it in a monogamous relationship or a one night stand, God does not distinguish between the two acts.

Porn has been around since the beginning of sin so that is a terrible excuse. I was a slave to porn for almost 10 years before I was set free through the power of Jesus Christ. I am not speaking theory to you. I have been in the muck and mud of this world.
Thanks for being open and engaging in dialogue. I look forward to more conversations.

Re: What is sexual immorality?

I just want to point out a contradiction that I see in your argument. This is what you say about yourself in your own words, “I do live a good and moral life”. Before making this comment you explain the following, “ my girlfriend had been together for 2 years and we had sex and stuff like that”. You openly live an immoral lifestyle by having sex outside of marriage yet you say that you live a moral life. Sex outside of marriage is wrong in many ways. It is deemed wrong by God in His Word (which you choose not to believe). It is also wrong because of the dangers of STD's that you put yourself at risk for and your partner. You can ignore the facts if you want to but that does not change the facts. Living with/having sex with a person whom you love yet are not married to is called being or having a concubine (used in the Old Testamnet). A concubine is a woman who is good enough to please a man sexually yet not good enough to have children that carry his name. Men used concubines as sex toys and the women who were concubines were similar to prostitutes yet they were worse because they were not getting paid for their services. So by having sex with your girlfriend outside of marriage you basically say that she is cheaper than a prostitute for you. Is that love, as you have already written? So you see you really did not love your girlfriend but used her for your own gratification instead.

The second problem with your argument is that you say that you believe in God and Jesus and consider yourself a Christian because you are Catholic. I have nothing against catholics but every true Christian is known not by the denomination that he/she follows but instead by obedience to God. Jesus Himself said that if you love Me/believe in Me then you will obey My commands. His commands are found in the Bible just as He left them. So by your own admission, you are not a Christian and you do not believe in God/Jesus because you do not obey. You need to repent and come to God through Jesus Christ in faith (trusting what He has revealed about Himself in the Bible). That is your choice, but remember that all choices have consequences (you make the choice and God gives the consequence).

The Bible has been preserved throughout history just as God intended in the original languages. Many people today do not know the original languages of the Bible and therefore must rely on a translation. There are many word for word translations of the original languages that transmit the entire message that God has for mankind. You need to study the evidence about the Bible before you make these bold statements about what you think, feel, or believe because the Truth is true and it does not matter if you believe it or not, the Truth does not change (there is internal evidence, external evidence, and personal evidence for the preservation of the Bible).

The Bible is very explicit on what is immorality and what is not. The word translated as immorality is pornea (we get porn from this word) and it means any for of sex outside of marriage including both physical and mental. You can choose not to believe that if you want but it is the Truth.

True love is not shown through sex but instead it is shown through sacrifice for the good of the other person. Jesus explains that very well.

As you have clearly seen, I have not “thrown” any verses from the Bible at you. The Bible has one interpretation that is correct. The reason that mankind has so many different interpretations/understandings is because most of the time people do not study the Bible for what is there and instead have their preconceived ideas. Or, they have their own agenda and try to twist the Bible to their agenda. Other times people do not have a good understanding of history and the historical context of a passage. There are plenty of tools available to help people study the Bible in their native languages while also being able to check the original words and meanings along with the context and historical context.
If God condemns your actions and someone shares that with you then the person sharing the info is not judging or condemning you, God is. There is a huge difference.

Here are some specific actions that you need to take. Come before the Lord God humbly and repent of your sins (turn away from them completely). Receive the forgiveness that God offers. Apologize to your girlfriend for the way you have been using her sexually. God to her father and apologize to him and then if he is willing, ask for her hand in marriage and marry her. Find a church that teaches the Bible for what It is. Get involved in Bible study together (you and your wife). Also get involved in a small group Bible study. If you will follow this advice then you will see dramatic changes in your relationship with her and with everyone around you.

Re: What is sexual immorality?

I am a little confused, did you write to me in order to find an answer or to explain to me what you would like to hear?

I will answer your questions and I hope that you will be open-minded enough to consider the argument and proof. It seems that you have pre-conceived ideas and many times, people like that do not care what the proof is because they already have the answer in mind that they want to hear. They usually ask a lot of different people until they get the answer that they were looking for in the first place. I hope that you are not like this.

Re: Creştinii şi comerţul în reţea (Multi Level Marketing)

te vezi foarte intelept dar-mi pare mie si mandru.
