With so many other free and simpler options ... Blogger maybe ... would you want to do it this way? It would be useful to tell us why this it better.

Re: Creating button templates, menus, and a chapter index automatically with DVD Studio Pro

Nice tutorial. I've used the FCP chapter markers with DVDSP templates to create the scene index automaticly but I've never created the button templates as you did. Nice. Will you be covering how to create a whole DVD template or at least the index pages of a template? That would be useful. I've always wanted to create those when I've got tons of chapters to get them onto fewer index pages.

Re: The Dark Side of DROBO

I can't think of any technical reason DROBO couldn't prevent this from happening. Since they are simulating the drive area that isn't installed, why couldn't they just simulate that the uninstalled part is already full of simulated read-only data. Then the OS would report the actual amount of free space. When an additional drive is installed then some of the simulated data would disappear and more free space would be available.

Re: Jobs

I'm writing a web suite that includes a blogging module. I haven't written the commenting section yet so I thought I'd take a look at your features and API. I see the API docs aren't up yet. Is there a feature list for the commenting system? For example, is there any anti-spam features? Any moderating features? (Perhaps when I submit this comment I'll have answers to these questions.

Good luck,

Rob:-]

Re: Tutorials and articles

How about sample code for Java. I'm trying to figure out if I can use OpenID/Clickpass with Lotus Notes/Domino.

Re: Log users in

I hate to be dense but I just don't understand what you want when you write <openid directory="">. Does this need to be a real path on my server? Can it be anything I want? Does it have to be the same for each user logging in? What purpose does it serve?

Let say I make it "x", then it would be
http://yoursite.com/x/compl...
If I entered this URL into a browser, should it resolve to something, i.e. should a page open? Is complete_openid_login another directory or an object or something else?

Thanks,

Rob:-]

Re: Some Spring Cleaning

DropBox sounds interesting. However, the home page has almost not information about what it is, how much it costs, what OS does it support. No, I didn't watch the video because that's not really appropriate when I'm at a customer site.

There seems to be a "less-is-more" thing going around on these startups. Google did that with their search page but then they didn't ask me to sign up for anything before using it. I don't like signing up for a pig-in-a-poke (love those hyphens, don't you?).

Well, I may give it another look when I get back to my office.

Peace,

Rob:-]
