Once morals creep into the mix it becomes a question of whose morals and which religion…”

It was YOUR morals that saw fit to hide your bigotry behind what you consider to be a secular argument---which, btw, is ABSURD, as Pandasthumb has already illustrated.
--
“The conclusion is” that anti-gay activists will continue to color and dress up their religious supremacy as social concern in order to further mainstream their anti-gay message.

Re: apa report a slap in the face to alan chambers claims family policy council of west virginia

Good breakdown.

"To give even the slightest credit to reparative therapy would be to deny that homosexuality is genetic, and therefore a choice."

And the truth comes out: change = choice.

“Exodus International, a ministry reaching out to people with unwanted same-sex attractions.”

Exodus International, an organization determined to convince voters that same-sex attraction is a choice.

Re: nom thanks the colbert report for making them look like closeted self loathing homo's

"I always thought the word comedy stood for the definition of comedy, but now I’m sure."

-Maggie Gallagher

Re: Matt Sanchez On Tyra: It always comes back to haunt you

I remember when I moved to Los Angeles, a friend told me to NEVER do a porn movie, because they NEVER GO AWAY.

Thank God I’ve always hated my body… LOL

Re: http://nlsngrc.blogspot.com/2009/01/truth-wins-out-condemns-dr-phil.html

"accessory after the fact"

I like it.

Re: Love Won Out airing On GOD TV

Oh goodie, more air play. So be it.

What Corvino did (via 365gay.com) was to openly frame Stanton’s intentional, and professional display of consistent dishonesty -- to legally harm gays -- as a mere disagreement.

Which is exactly how Stanton and the Focus on the Family crowd want their immorally unfair beliefs to be framed.

Re: Pat Boone: "I love gays"

I love hateful slanderous bigots.

Re: http://nlsngrc.blogspot.com/2008/12/now-we-know.html

“Many of these people the ones who worship the ground that Mel White walks on, ignoring of course that he was the one who put the words in Jerry Falwell's mouth.”

But that doesn’t make him a fraud. To the contrary, especially if you’ve read Religion Gone Bad, he knows now the serious negative impact that his actions have had, and is trying to make up for it. And he get’s that we’re ultimately just a pawn in their designs for world domination.

Look at it this way, If it weren’t for White’s experience, he not only wouldn’t have the goods on them to give, but there would be no organization called Soulforce.

The unique thing about Soulforce is the contention that one can be faith based/Christian, etc., and be gay. Which -- whether you believe in a god or not -- strikes at the very heart of the anti-gay industry’s premise, that gay and Christian are antithetical. (i.e., their manipulate the masses fundraising premise)

The joy of this WMD is that it’s sincere, these people are actual Christians and/or non-believers, who actually believe in loving their enemies. Which to outside observers, shows the depth of sincerity and integrity of their actions and beliefs.
It’s extremely hard to do, but that’s the whole point that comes across.

“And what of the ex-ex-gays? The reason why they still haven't shut down the ex-gay business and never will because doing so would put them out of business too.”

I’m not sure exactly what you mean by this, as far as I see it, the testimony of the ex-ex-gays isis to put the anti-gay aspect of the ex-gay industry out of business.

Again, these are people of faith, who truly do adhere to the “love they neighbor” “love thy enemy” principle. So it would make sense that they don’t want to be vicious and verbally violent about their cause.

What more would you have them do?

That’s where I see that we come in - to do the “dirty” work of calling these anti-gay liars, liars to their faces.

I went to the Soulforce sponsored ex-gay conference a couple years ago, and many of them have been horribly damaged by what happened to them, the fact that they’re speaking out AT ALL is courageous enough for me.

Maybe I’m not seeing what you’re saying, but I think it’s really important to understand that you can’t just put all ex-ex-gays into one box.

Again, like Mel White, if it wasn’t for the experiences that they went through, that they are testifying to now, we wouldn’t know the inner workings of the anti-gay’s ex-gay-industry. They should be encouraged, not condemned.

If there’s any condemnation, I would say that it should be with those who are not speaking out who could be. And that requires encouraging those who are already speaking out.

Re: Defending Glenn Stanton

Well I'm a "gay Jesus freak" and I say fuck Corvino.

That article should have been tiltled: "I'm friends with a demon"
Good Lord, and Corvino is apparently an atheist (according to Stanton).
