We did go. While it wasn't a masterpiece, it wasn't the trainwreck some people were expecting.

Some interesting moments:

- Jim falling as he was trying to make it back on stage after a clothing change.
- Jim performing the song "Pussy is My Medicine"
- Jim's song about Cam and Max B - which was very good
- Because of a relatively small cast, people played multiple parts, which led to moments like Jim's wifey being played by an actress who was a school girl in the prior scene.
- And lastly, Jeff and Shade 45's Angela Yee clapped at some of the most inopportune times during the show.

Brilliant take as always, Rey.

As for James Todd Smith, here are my thoughts:

1. He's not 21 years old anymore, yet his attitude and lyrics are. Why not embrace who you really are? Each new love song with a feature, and occasional tough song to let people know where he grew up, makes me forget about all the phenomenal music he made way back when. It's painful to watch.

2. I totally understand the importance of one's career, but at the same time, take responsibility into your own hands. If we're talking strictly about sales, Redman was exactly right: if the album doesn't sell, then it's the artist's fault. Make better music instead of blaming Jay-Z for everything.

3. I wonder if LL would perform his new songs at his kids' teenage birthday parties.

1. I am so excited about the Nas album, and honestly, after the last one, I didn't know if I would be. "Hero" is unbelievable.

2. If anyone didn't get it the first time, rewind it and watch it again!

3. Dan loves compliments almost as much as leaning and rocking.

4. Def Jam dropped the ball. It's a shame that money gets in the way every single time. I do love what he says and how he says it in "Hero."

5. That's exactly what our parents said!
