It might make for a more sporting contest if you grant the prize to the first person who correctly answers a trivia question.

Re: Guess who’s coming to dinner?

John Thorn is Jewish?

Re: Michelle Shocked Launches Into Anti-Gay Rant On Stage at Yoshi's

>>I made the ultimate sacrifice.”<< Sounds like she's an ultimate idiot, and about as lost as she ever was, if not moreso.

Re: World's Hardest Languages to Learn

I've been studying Russian for a year. I find it very difficult. By comparison, Hebrew was much easier for me. As a native speaker of English, for me the key issue is that Russians runs many consonants together. I can think of several words with four consecutive consonants, including a common greeting word. There may be some words with five straight consonants. American mouths and tongues don't work that way. Also there are three "gendered" distinctions, including neuter, and six (that's right SIX) cases! Oh my, all those different endings to track. Yet there is something strangely beautiful about Russian. I love listening to native speakers and hopefully one day I'll bend my brain around it.
