You know rhetorical questions can be dumb too, right? Don't answer that; it was rhetorical...

And yeah, you listed a few reasons, although you did say that your opinion was "based on" the Bellas yelling. Which makes it sound like that was the biggest clue for you. Not the fact that the promo was allowed to air (although you DO sort of give that fact a nod in passing during your discussion of Punk's promo).

Don't get the wrong idea, though. I enjoyed the article. I wouldn't have bothered commenting otherwise.

Seriously? Come on. You're smarter than that. They played her music as she skipped off the stage!!! It was all planned, and it worked well.

Now we're talking. You're absolutely right. It was story-driven, and there's nothing wrong with that. All this was was a really good worked promo from a Diva. This is probably the most that anyone has ever talked about a promo by a woman before, so it clearly did what it was supposed to do. Her delivery was impeccable, and the fact that it was hypocritical doesn't matter a jot - she's (currently) a heel, remember.

That's better. So who cares if it doesn't measure up to Punk's promo? It doesn't have to. Considered on its own terms, it was good and interesting - or at least, better and more interesting than anything that's happened in WWE Diva-land for a while.

True, but Cena's patented "no-pressure-STF" is famously lax. His application of the hold makes it the least convincing submission move in wrestling. He leans ON HIS FISTS half the time... fair play to him, it makes his arms look massive when he does it, but it leaves a visible gap between his grip and the opponent, and there's absolutely no torque on the neck. It's rubbish.

Exactly. If the chants peter out, problem solved. If they carry - IF, for crying out loud - it'll be an opportunity for Wyatt, if anything, and I hope the guy sees it that way. He's all about educating the sheep-like masses, right? Well what a fantastic opening that'll be for him to call out the "sheep" one week and condemn them. It'd be a great character moment. If he and WWE can't work out how to respond to these chants in a constructive way then they might as well drop the whole thing.

Hahaha this whole thing is such a load of bullshit. The same people who were up in arms about this crap were the ones laughing when Chris Harris returned to TNA and got "Knock Knock, Who's There? Braden Walker!" chants. What makes Wyatt any different? Because you like him??? Think of that next time you're laughing at people who cheer for Damien Sandow and Sheamus - which is all everyone on here ever seems to argue about. And it's as boring as hell, by the way.

Wyatt's an awesome character. That kinda stuff makes people sit up and take notice, not piddling chants from small sections of the audience. This gimmick is a winner, Wyatt plays it REALLY damn well and 99.9% of the crowd ate it up. Get some perspective, people!

And God forbid we allow fans to have fun with this stuff in whatever way they want, right? Who gave anyone on this site the right to tell people how to enjoy the product? That's just silly. What's even funnier is that if it turns out that the Wyatt family suck in the ring (has anyone seen them wrestle in non squashes???) everyone who's crying now about the "Husky Harris" chants will turn on Bray anyway and jump straight on the "haha isn't this funny" badwagon.

Absolutely I'd say that. Punk's awesome. Jericho's vastly overrated in my books, but still a talented dude. The two don't have any chemistry together at all, but I'd rather see them in the ring than Wade Barrett and Sheamus. Got nothing against either of those guys, but they'll never be in Punk's league.

That said, yeah, Punk / Jericho last night was dreadful. The crowd were a riot, but the match was slack as shit. My feed cut out for two minutes at the 8minute mark, so maybe something amazing happened that I missed, but it doesn't sound like it. The whole "is Punk still good to go?" thing just didn't work for me.

Punk / Jericho was dreadful. Yes it was Punk, yes it was Jericho, but those things don't make it good. The best thing those two guys ever did together was a throwaway match on Raw before Punk dropped the belt. 10 minutes of plodding followed by 5 minutes of above-average doesn't make it good. Come on. You know better than that.

And you seriously think that Punk was out of shape? I don't know what the story of this match was supposed to be - Punk looking vulnerable and sympathetic since Mania and Heyman starting to lose faith in his golden boy, perhaps - but given how much the pace quickened towards the end it seems pretty clear that Punk's tiredness was an act. Michael Cole and JBL pointed it out frequently! When Michael Cole tells you something, you KNOW it isn't real.

You're out of your mind if you think that the reason Ziggler lost the match was because he's still concussed. a) Wrestling isn't real. b) There's no way they would have made Ziggler wrestle a 15-minute match full of headshots if he had a serious concussion. That's stupid. c) Wrestling isn't real.

Walkovacs knows. I can't believe some of you are still in doubt about this. The match was clearly a double-turn. When Michael Cole draws attention to the fact that "the crowd have turned on Alberto Del Rio!" and Jerry Lawler starts talking about Ziggler as a "brave young man... what heart he's showing here!" I think it's pretty obvious what's going on. And if Del Rio's simpering, self-congratulatory promo wasn't designed to draw heat, I don't know what was.

Ziggler will be triumphant babyface champ again before the year's out.
