"You are not ready, yet. -X," or something to that effect. I took that as a hint from the writers that Lex was alive and watching Tess. I was admittedly too lazy to go back and find out exactly what the thing was. I'll stand by my criticism of the cut from J'onn rescuing Clark to everyone having escaped from the lab complex. This was not a minor detail, as there were still plenty of goons around and getting out wasn't going to be easy. Were the how and why of the situation critical? No, but it's another example of either trying to fit too much into a single episode to do any of it justice, or poor writing. You choose.
