I lived across the hall from her, and there was no "blood curdling scream." Believe me, I'd have heard it, and the dogs on the floor would have barked. They barked their heads off when the FBI came to print the place and look for blood (which they did not find). It's a tiny, all white studio.

Re: Tsunami hitting Hawaii NOW. Read Jim Gorant's book The Lost Dogs. Read how difficult it was to find the souls who would go after Vick, when "everyone" knew he was fighting dogs. We must strengthen the laws to punish people who fight dogs, breed dogs like crops, hoard animals. Until we have that cudgel it will continue unabated.

Re: If the public is right, then Obama is a socialist Muslim from Africa

Gene Robinson had a good column and talk back here:

http://www.washingtonpost.c...

Basically they are not happy having a black President, and a "socialist" to boot.

Re: A very proud and fearless Suze Orman says 'It Gets Better'

She made me cry... fantastic Suze! When I was working on my dissertation proposal I wrote to Ted Kennedy and asked for a copy of his proposed bill. That was in the '80's and it never made it to the floor. Then in the '90's we had Hillary Clinton's push... still nothing. The problem is these privileged bastards have no clue what the average working class person faces. They have never had a health crisis and not had top notch coverage. I have Kaiser Permanente and would never go back to conventional coverage. Not that I could, as I'm also a breast cancer survivor. Too bad Edwards (both of them) turned out to be such glass bowls.

Re: Friday Morning Open Thread

I read somewhere that the first weddings will be on Tuesday at a Unitarian church, which I presume is All Souls Unitarian at 16th and Harvard, since its the only UU church in DC.

The pentagon shooter, J Patrick Bedell, has died and apparently was a 9/11 conspiracy nut (planned demolition) who had been arrested for growing marijuana in California. This is the type of health care all Americans should have. It reasonable in cost, there are no deductibles or caps and a small per service copay. For example, I had to have a lumpectomy and radiation therapy for breast cancer. The surgery cost me $25 as did each radiation treatment (total of 33).
