bonus! Looks like the old comments all still exist in Disqus, but with
the comics at different URLs now, (eg /6-opposing-forces/12 instead of
/comic/odd-request/) they aren't getting linked in.

Yes, unprofessional tone, and the handwriting says "definitely not the same loremaster", too, though with the change in font of A's journalling, it's not so easy to be sure. But yeah: this scroll feels like it was written by someone far simpler and less scholarly. A bad guy who has taken the academy?
If so, it's a concern that she might now send any dark artifacts to this bad guy.

So my conclusion from this was that this was sent *after* she sent the last message, or she'd have got this with her other scroll. Unless it only sends one scroll at a time, which feels like a stretch.
But it means someone with no time or ability to write wanted to send her (maybe all external students) a message to warn that there was something wrong. Since she understood that message, this seems to have worked.
OR... sending someone a message allows them to be tracked? Or it's a magic tracking-message? In which case this might not be from the academy at all. And it is shown carefully that she puts it in the bag, so...
OR, invisible ink, and she'll figure out the message later.
SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!

Pessimistically, that could be the fourth great evil the girls have unleashed, so far.
- Skelebones seems done for and the dragon seemed good, so probably didn't unleash anything bad.
- The halberd is out of the way, but arguably exploitable by bad aliens or just some bad guy who knows how to teleport it back.
- The giant robot guard that they reactivated.
- And now they've unleashed a shackled evil god, for which the shackles didn't register as dark artifacts so may have been there for good!
...but even so, it was still unquestionably the Right Thing to Do.

I'm thinking this comic may be more subtle. Even Skelebones, who'd be an easy character to make simply pure evil, was pitched somewhat sympathetically! So I'm thinking this character (assassin? hunter?) is gonna have some interesting motivation.

This last panel looks ominous. But if there's something bad that caused a
sword to be drawn and things thrown to the floor at the academy, and
now her messages and deliveries aren't getting picked up, then how come
she got a response from the tooth? Though, maybe the scroll was already queued
up for delivery to her, in her magical "inbox". Or something. Hope we find out!

This also makes a pretty good solitaire game: that's rare in boardgames which're typically designed for many players, and makes it a good go-to for gamers who only get one game night a week but need something to fill the void between. It feels like it could translate well to a video game.
It needs a big table or lots of cat/dog-free floor, though, as those maps can grow huge.

Personally, I feel this game is a better exploration of morality than any game I've played, including the Ultimas. If anyone has played the game and thinks the game lacked moral or "political" depth and subtlety, then tell me: on the subway, which carriage did you ride? Which exit did you pass through, when leaving? What drove your choice?

And there's an argument for the importance of the "English Language & Usage" SE if ever I've seen one :D

David Shor's point about the importance of the SEs to their respective specialties is well made, though - if you're in Eng Lit, then the English SE will matter to you, and so on. But I also agree with the article - there could well be more SEs focused around careers or academic fields.

There are at the moment a lot of "soft skills" SEs. I mean... "Interpersonal Skills"? How did that even get made?

You can just buy them. I have one stylus for my V10, but almost never use it. They are, what, 50c? Probably get them free with cereal. I imagine there are clips or whatever that can hold them to phones, but I wouldn't want the additional size for that: I'll be saving my additional space for an extended battery instead.
