Perhaps as part of another report involving police with a headline that includes "Florida man ..."

Re: Thiel: Trump puts return of sports in crucible

I'm still waiting for my opportunity to get tested for the virus. Bears fans, get use to hearing, "First and 15." Mitchell Trubisky should have his helmet in his hand when Nick Foles is on the field with Ifedi and Jimmy Graham as "blockers."

Re: Thiel: Mariners trade to get worse, and succeed

And then there's the homegrown roster construction (3) - Roenis Elias, Kyle Seager and Felix Hernandez, with the clock ticking on the latter. Meanwhile, the Red Sox can run out homegrown starters at 2B, SS, 3B, C, LF and CF. Impressive - and depressing.

Re: Thiel: Mariners trade to get worse, and succeed

This will be Dipoto's fourth draft as the Mariners GM, and let's hope he gets this one right. The M's have six players on MLB's preseason Top 100 prospects list, but the top three were drafted by other orgs, and Rodriguez was a signee. Sadly, Kyle Lewis, taken 11th overall in 2016, will soon be 24, yet is nowhere near ready.
Justus Sheffield - No. 34 (Indians, 2014)
Jarred Kelenic - No. 42 (Mets, 2018)
Justin Dunn - No. 74 (Mets, 2016)
Evan White - No. 89 (M’s, 2017)
Julio Rodridguez - No. 96 (International signee)
Logan Gilbert - No. 99 (M’s 2018)

Re: Thiel: KJR shuffle brings back Gas, for awhile

I've come to liken KJR vs. ESPN 710 akin to the P-I vs. The Times, back in the pre-1999 JOA days. I enjoy both for different reasons, but the heyday of Seattle sports talk seems to have been Groz with Gas. To me, that duo was akin to 'SportsCenter' with DP & KO. No one will do it better. (That said, I find Softy to be damn entertaining all by himself.) And not that anyone should really care, but in the caption, there's a typo in Jack Z's last name - it should be Zduriencik. As always, thank you for providing your witty and insightful coverage of sports in our corner of the world.

Re: Lineup: Mariners hitting Guillermo Heredia leadoff vs Red Sox

I didn't have the ESPN audio turned on.

Re: Lineup: Mariners hitting Guillermo Heredia leadoff vs Red Sox

Let's hope Servais or one of his coaches told Heredia he must throw to the correct base.
