Safeway deliveries DO NOT originate from the Safeway closest to your home in the area where I deliver. There is ONE Safeway that covers orders for addresses as far as 10+ miles away. Depending on traffic, it can easily take 30 minutes to deliver a groceries order.

You Midwesterners are brave street warriors in my opinion, cheers to you for battling the winter weather! I'm just happy now to be able to schedule shifts. For months last year I couldn't even get scheduled unless I took a midnight to 4am shift, which was ludicrous. Hopefully they've just messed up the algorithms and we'll get busy again soon.

Woohoo! I got 2 stacked orders at lunchtime to deliver to high school students in a part of town I never think of going to. My first deliveries of the New Year. Maybe my curse has been broken. Sitting at the busiest hot spot in town right now with everyone else that is not getting orders. #sanramon

The thing that makes it worse is seeing other drivers in the parking lot getting orders. Why not us too?

This is my third day in a row sitting in my car for 2+ hours when my zone says BUSY, not getting a single order. Support says I should be getting orders, what gives, Tony??

It's been 2 hours now on Sunday, still no orders. I can see other dashers going into restaurants and picking up orders. Contacted support, they said to log out/log in, that should fix it. 30 minutes later still nothing. I have Gold rating standard too. Oh well...

I gave up on Saturday after sitting in my car for 2 hours waiting for an order. Typically January is the slowest month for this job, but I wish they wouldn't urge us to go out and dash if the ordering for food is so low. Better things I can do with my time. Today at least I brought a book to read while waiting for a ping.
