One of my kids went to see Backrooms on Saturday with a few friends - they all *loved* it, and said the theatre was fairly full. It's great seeing indie flicks do really well, it gives hope that original stories can have success, and all the doom 'n gloom of the industry is unwarranted.

I don't know about anyone else, but my family and I are eagerly awaiting the physical media release of "Project Hail Mary" as we want to see all of the behind-the-scenes stuff on how it was made. And for "The Sheep Detectives" too. That said, it has been years since we were this interested in the details behind a movie.

Took the family to see The Sheep Detective last night, was not expecting it to be so deep and handle some themes so maturely, bleating all the way. Just a marvelous movie!

It was a pretty disappointing movie - lots of neat references to the source material, but the story plodded along and stuff kinda just happened, it was like 90 minutes of cut scenes sewn together.

It's unfortunate, but The Rock just looks too old for this role - it would have been great for him in his late 30's or early 40's, but he's 53 and his face looks it.

Honestly I loved Enchanted, with Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey. But that was almost 20 years ago, and the sequel kinda sucked.

Looks pretty good, the "evolution" part speaks to Spidey's need to grow beyond his college years into something more. Some of the CGI did seem a little off, e.g. when he pulled his mask down over his face it just didn't seem right, so hopefully the finished release doesn't have these uncanny valley problems.
