What can a blog post be? A blog can be text, photos, video, podcast and of course contextual links. Links are usually within the text but the rest of the content has it's own place in the post. I think you will see the marrying of all these forms of media, physically overlapping each other very much like Mag + concept. A much more intuitive UE and I think we are seeing the rapid evolution of the basic blog template into the Mag+ concept and it will lead on to play video and sound.
