Just saw this. Sorry for the massive delay. I'm not sure what happened to that. I realised I stopped getting them, too, so I presume it's just an old plugin-type thing that broke along the way. It's a bit of a pain. I didn't realise whether or not people relied on it.

I've seen what can only be paid reviews all over the shop. Full of effusive praise on Twitter from supposed critics, and even Peter Bradshaw giving it 4/5!

Thankfully, Mark Kermode didn't let me down, as like me, he only got one laugh out of it - his for the manslaughter 'joke'.

Indeed. It sounds like filming is already underway, but on a $60m budget, the first film has only taken $150m, so there's not a huge demand for it. Even if film 2 does come out, I doubt a third will, and that's another trilogy up the spout.

Did you see the awful Strangers Chapter 1 film? Chapter 2 was planned for later in 2024, and Chapter 3 in 2025. Currently, 2 is coming later in 2025, and 3... who knows?

Similarly, Kevin Costner's awful Horizon western bombed for Part 1. As such, Part 2 is complete but left in limbo, and no-one knows (or cares) whether 3 or 4 will see the light of day. I think they'll just end up on Netflix.

I also read a tweet that said that while James Cameron's taking forever to make all these Avatar films that few people will actually care about (I'll go and see them for the IMAX 3D technical achievements), he could've made 3-4 bangers.

Hehe, way too true. It would've made more sense if SHE was the one who'd been shot, as some sort of comeuppance for being so stupid, but the script wouldn't have been allowed to go down that path.

Thanks, and yep, I wouldn't rush to see it again. I'll be seeing Fantastic Four shortly, but looking at the seat maps in the IMAX screen, outside of the prime time showings, it's not looking busy. I think Marvel are heading for their third flop in a row!

They'll make their money back from the next Spider-Man and Avengers films, but that's all the public want to support, these days, it seems.

Thanks, and let me know what you think. I think it's a severe case of groupthink, same as with the Last Of Us TV series, which is awful compared to the game, and like a bad cover version. But, the groupthink all must say it's amazing, otherwise they'll be cast out! :D

Hi, there was probably about 10-15 other people in the room at most, from memory. It was at 6.40pm on the first Sunday, so a lot of families will have gone home for the weekend. I remember the seat map for Moana 2 in 3D was rammed at the weekend, but when I saw it on the Monday afternoon, I was the only person in. I also had the same experience for (review coming) Ne Zha 2 in 3D, on Tuesday, this week.

I wouldn't be surprised with a Bambi remake, but I guess they'd go the Mufasa route, rather than adding in humans.
