the "darkness" technique only works on a non-psychic mind because they don't have the ability to fight back against a psychic attack.

although it could potentially work on a weaker psychic...

Basically Gunner took William's personality/consciousness and zipped it up and stored it away (Hence why William freaked out when it happened. I imagined it as something like having the walls press in on you very quickly. Chris may have a different interpretation, but we're usually pretty close on how we see things). William still breathes on his own, but would require an order from Gunner to say... I dunno, walk over to the fridge and get a beer (bad example). He also can only say what Gunner tells him to say. In essence he's very much a living puppet. Although trapped, his consciousness is still in intact, and I would imagine fairly pissed off at this point.

Don't read too much into it Katsu. "Mind Control Eyes" are a trope used mostly for reader benefit.

i swear there have been like three really good spots to end this scene so far, this page being one of them, but it just keeps going! I think there's six more pages in the scary-blue office and then off to some different characters and a much less blue location.

Maybe I can finish two comics this week and throw down an extra thursday update to speed things up a bit.
