And I disagree, car design is art, and like art it evokes different emotions from different people. But it is also a product, currently a misunderstood product. Opening up the lines of communication can only help their cause right now...explaining the rationale behind the aesthetic might not win them fans, but it will earn them respect for opening themselves up to criticism, ultimately showing that they are listening.

Re: Honda Accord Crosstour Damaged In Facebook Hit and Run

What's a social brand to do? Own it...host some Q and A sessions with the designers and key execs and talk about the car. Cover what influenced their creation, reasons for their bold design choices, how this new style fits into their governing aesthetic and company culture, etc. Provide a platform for people to hear how you came to this end result...they may not agree with the looks of your product, but at least they will understand how you got there...

Re: 6 Twitter Search Services Compared

Great article Ari, nice to have these twitter search applications in one place for easy referencing. Lately, I have been using Twitzap, which not only allows me to update from the application, but continually run searches that will populate as I tweet. As a community manager it allows me to not only post updates regarding our content, but address users that are talking about out product and the industry in general - in real time. You can adjust the real-time update speed, and set as many searches as you wish. I recommend checking it out, if you haven't already!

Thanks!

Re: Check Out Episode 1 Of Ed Brubaker’s Angel Of Death

Great Ryan, thanks for the post. Appreciate the one from last week, too. You can't fake social media...it begins with the word "social" for a reason. You cannot be afraid to talk to anyone and everyone surrounding your subject matter. To quote one of them most influential motivational speeches I have ever heard: Smurf if up!
