Katie's argument is crap, too. Mental illness aside, and as with medical care, the direct correlation between housing costs and homelessness is that drug addicts aren't going to spend money on housing or medical care. Their money is going to drugs and just enough food to keep them alive.

What dems don't want to mention is the effect property taxes and county/city services has on housing costs. Renters are ignorant of the fact that when politicians jack up the taxes and allow crime to jack up the property insurance, that jacks up the rent, and they blame the mean old landlord. Katie's been insulated from such things all her life, because her parents still support her.

They're both far-left communist candidates. To be fair, older 'new left' commie politicians like bass tend to adopt the nationalist socialist economic model when they are in power. That's what dems call "The Third Way." or "communitarianism," but it's just fascism. There's a lot more to skim off the economy, without any of the responsibility and headache of personally maintaining and operating the means of production. Those CEOs are still around to blame when the politicians' picks of economic winners and losers leads to disaster. They get replaced, not the politicians that made the big decisions.

It used to happen fairly regularly when I was a kid in the 70s, some of them from WW1. Usually farmers or construction crews. That's why the old folks just shook their heads at those idiots having that rave last year in a field that was known to have unexploded ordinance in it. I think it was an old artillery range impact zone.

That was just to the West of the Japanese airfield's runway, their main defenses were North and NE of it. It was bombed repeatedly before four regiments of infantry landed about two miles East of it in 1944
