While I appreciate your enthusiasm that CVN-80 needs to be named Enterprise, I do not see that happening. I see the Enterprise being reborn as an LHA, the same as the USS America (CV66) was reborn as an LHA. I forsee the Ford class CVN being cancelled after maybe 2 are built because of the staggering cost, cost overruns, and Defense Department budget cuts.

This is a good idea, but I think that because of the USAF, the Army can not operate fixed wing aircraft in combat. Basically it's called politics.

I know what you mean. When I joined they Navy, they just did away with the cracker jack uniform and went with the 'bus driver' uniform with the goofy cap to boot. Then they brought back the cracker jacks. Then they had the undress blues, the polyester uniforms(until they realized they would melt when set on fire), They had the working uniform with the weird jumper shirt, they had the dungarees and chambray shirt working uniform, which by far were the best working uniforms. Basically, when I was in, we went thru about 5 or 6 uniform changes.

Now they got the blue cammies, to hide the dirt and stains better they say, not to mention I think they would make it harder to find you if you went over the side.

'one uniform for all - indicative of cutting the defense budget to give more to the 'socialist' government.' Makes sense. Nazi Germany only had 2 colors of uniforms I believe. Green for the regular German army, navy and air force, and black for the SS and gestapo.

Really? Where? There hasn't been any .22 ammo available in my area for a couple of years or so. Almost every other caliber is available, but no .22's. A person has a better chance of finding hens teeth than they do finding .22 ammo. And if you do find some, be prepared to pay outrageously inflated prices.

There is no Bass Pro shop in my area, and all they do is 'ship to store', not to mention, when I go to their site to look, most all their .22 is sold out.

I find it interesting that Tilque traveled to England for a face-to-face interview to join the Australian military. But, bye the bye, if I was a bit younger and an opportunity like this presented itself, I would have no qualms going for it.

Is it 48 beds or 480 beds. Because Landstuhl has 310 beds. I think that a building that has 281,000 square feet would have a little more than 48 beds. The USS George Washington for example has a 48 bed sick bay.
