Knoxville News Sentinel for 26 weeks is only $1.40/wk. There is a disclaimer at the bottom that states the rate will increase to $2.80/wk after the initial 26 weeks but keep reading....

In my past experience when there was a rate increase on my bill I called the local newspaper advertising department to get an adjustment. **Make sure you verify if it is the local office & NOT their call center! ** While asking for an adjustment I asked if they could "grandfather" my old discounted rate if I were to subscribe to 8 papers. ((Mind you there is 5 in my family and my parents & grandmother use my coupons when we go shopping)) I had to wait a couple of days for a manager to call me back but I was told YES! I have NOT had success the handful of times that I have spoke with the call center as they have no approval authority. So, keep calling back until you get somebody in Ktown!

Even though the deals were just so-so there were at least more mega savings in the store than what was listed in the ad.

Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks turning out to only be $.18 per box! That's way cheap!
Some of the Hamburger Helper is only $.20 per box. About 3 different varieties.

Plus, I have a $30 gift card to giveaway for the event that ends Wed 8/19. Cool!

I received a mailer from them too with 4 customized coupons. I just absolutely love the Mega Events! I also posted here about some conveniently timed catalina deals which includes Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks and one for Nature's Valley and I also have a running catalina list here. I love stacking catalina deals with coupons & sales for extra savings!

Don't forget about the $1.50 printable on Coupons.com right now to make them FREE.

The Back-2-School coupon does state $2 on the front and $1 on the reverse but scans as $2 off. Plus, it does come off multiple items in a single transaction without having to have more than one coupon.

My best friend had several mailer coupons she stacked with this deal in addition to the coupons.com printables and now has several tubs of free/cheap wipes.
