This is essentially why I send my kids to a Montessori school. They don't just learn to memorize facts but also how to practically apply those facts to their lives. I highly recommend Montessori education.

You tell me. I personally have no problem with a private organization making their own rules. I don't have to like their rules to respect their rights to have them. Like them or leave them, but the will of the minority should never overrule the right to private opinions. That's the political correctness movement for you: Impose their opinions on others. P.C. is an animal of the fascist Left. Obey their rules or they'll destroy you.

I merely posted these comments, and you'll notice that I didn't make any comments of my own. I was just merely posting what is a fact. Obama spoke at a segregated university. I wonder if a Republican president would receive the same level of critique from the mainstream media on that fact if he were to do the same.

By the way, al-Azhar is a PUBLIC university that teaches secular and non secular studies (as you said) whose mission includes the propogation of Islam. Why isn't your inner-Nancy Pelosi exploding at the idea of a nation that has no separation of church and state?

Why would a woman want to be a member of a men only club? There's just men there!
Why would a black man want to be a member of a segregated country club? Who wants to hang out with a bunch of racists anyway?

I have no problem substituting liberty for good and tyranny for evil. as far as I'm concerned they're inter-changable.
my argument does not change. sometimes the advancement of liberty for all requires the suspension of liberty for those that oppose it. That's why we imprison or execute murderers, rapists and thieves.

I would define evil as a tyrannical movement that seeks to enslave, over-power and oppress. Throughout history has existed the constant struggle between liberty and oppression. That is how we know that the United States of America (as a theory) is a movement of good versus evil. Is there evil amongst us? Absolutely. Where power is to be had will always exist those that wish to exploit it. That is why the Constitution is to be protected because it seeks to share power between the branches.

Is Islamic terrorism evil? It seeks to enslave. It seeks to oppress. And it seeks bully the world into submission.

The United States has historically stood along its friends and also countries we would count as merely acquaintances to defeat tyranny. That's something to be proud of as a nation. No other country has spilled more blood for the sake of another than the United States. So yes, I think America is a force of good in the world, and we've sometimes had to get our hands dirty to do so.

Well when you put it that way, what are laws but arbitrary lines drawn between what is acceptable and unacceptable? It's all relative, so don't worry too much about it if we overstep the laws. The constitituion? Optional. Whether or not I come up to you in a bar and punch you in the face for no reason? Its all just a cosmic mistake. What's stopping me from crapping on your carpet? Hey, if I want to do it, who are you to stop me?

Even you, I'm sure, can find morality somewhere, but don't you be preaching your fairy tales to me, oppressor!

My only point was that sometimes you have to get your hands dirty, even when you're on the side of good versus evil.
