On my first read I somehow missed that I'm Greg Odens tonsils number one request. That's what I get for skimming. I'm honoured.

True story: I secretly covet Bill Pullman's Independence Day hair, particularly right after he takes off the fighter helmet. My ladyfriend once tried to explain this to a stylist, asking her if she'd ever seen Independence Day and referencing Bill Pullman by name, and it was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

Here's my deal with Star Trek (2009). I'm completely indifferent to it. I really am. I'm sure I'll see it opening weekend but I would be shocked if I come away giddy and giggly and dying to see it again. As I've said before, it's nice to see Star Trek imagery produced with a "real" budget, and I'm curious to see how Leonard Nimoy is used. But for me, Star Trek is the original series and movies and The Next Generation (minus the TNG films), with those characters, those actors, and the friends I watched it all with. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe Star Trek (2009) will be the most extraordinary two hours of Star Trek ever. Whether it is or it isn't, though, I don't think it'll have any impact on me whatsoever.

Gods that's depressing.

I don't think I've ever seen The View, not all of it, certainly -- do guests come on in traditional talk show fashion? "Please welcome Larry Hagman!" followed by a walk-on and applause? Because I can't imagine him receiving applause. I wonder if he'll start the segment already in the guest chair.

I struggled with the lower-right hand corner for a while... I finally gave up and just drew the plasma energy barrier that separates that part of the state from Mexico or the ocean or whatever's down there.
