I never really liked Lindsay's films except for "The Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls" (yay!). You can tell that she's reading directly from a script though...her eyes are roaming from right to left, hehe. I'm really glad she did this though because it shows that she is a breathing, feeling human being with a sense of humor. Zac Efron's Funny or Die skit was also hilarious. You and Mariah should definitely create your own! Maybe the babies can have their own cameos and we can finally be introduced to Cha Cha, hehe!

I didn’t even know who Perez Hilton WAS until he started gracing (tainting?) certain magazines. I thought “Who in the world is this little gordo with his messy hair and horrendous attire?” Of course I wish I still remained ignorant to his very existence, but what can you do? One of the things I love about Mariah is that although she may express her discontent with the media due to their blatant lies and slander, she was never one to hate on the media because, as she said, this is one of the fallbacks of fame and you just gotta “shake it off.”

Perez is feeding off of the so-called dispute that Mariah and Madonna had 13 years ago. I like Madonna’s music—from the 80’s at least and she helped women everywhere embrace their sexuality albeit in a very controversial way. But even though I enjoyed her music and this new sexual liberation that was thoroughly exploited, her attitude and general personality turned me off. Plus, she can’t sing. Never could, although she released plenty of good tunes back in her day and has become rather iconic. I won’t deny that.

However, Perez shouldn’t deny that, unlike Madonna, Mariah has not only empowered women sexually, but has allowed women to embrace their curves, their sensuality, and their own autonomy (I mean, come on! She owned a frikin bachelorette pad for goodness sake’s!). She does this not only through music, but by EXAMPLE! She practices what she preaches and that is definitely something that “some” celebrities do not do. Plus, Mariah has class no matter how short or tight her dresses may be. Perez can hint at how “promiscuous” Mariah is (even though she is THE Mary Poppins), but we all know who is truly “promiscuous.” In saying that, I do not want to imply that I look down on anyone who has had their fair share of sexual partners. I do not believe in calling women “whores” and “sluts” because these terms were, of course, created by men to degrade women. The fact that Perez revels in this just shows how narrow-minded and hypocritical he truly is.

Also, does anyone remember when Mariah went on air with Ryan Seacrest? Ryan was bad-mouthing Perez and Mariah was all like, “Well, he’s not all that bad. He’s said some very nice things about me before.” That’s how Mariah is. She always looks for the positive in things! And the entire time she was talking nicely about him, he was on the air LISTENING! So when Ryan confronted Perez, Mariah was like, “Oh! He’s on the air?” Why can’t Perez see that that could have been the golden opportunity for Mariah to bash on him? But no, Mariah isn’t like that. And even if she didn’t like you, she would most likely have said “no comment” as she generally does when the subject is in bad taste. The most amusing thing about this is that Perez kissed her ass thoroughly. He even told her that he loved her and lovingly called her Mimi (and not Mimoo) while she firmly put him in his place when she reminded him that she has been in this business for a very long time.

Perez degrades women’s weight, their hair, their attire, their partners…everything. But please, people, stop highlighting his homosexuality as the main cause for his unhappiness and thus subsequent grumpiness. I am also a Latina and a lesbian and, believe me, my community has been ostracized enough. I don't even own a pair of jeans because I love wearing dresses and I still get smack for it. My first and only partner is my current girlfriend of six years and we went through hell just to be together. I don’t want a walking stereotype to demean my relationship NOR my humanity. Thanks.

Nick, I’m glad you’re fighting back and I’m so glad that Mariah has her head held high. She looked good in those pictures—like she had a really good time. She’s glowing, happy, and healthy. I hope you both had a blessed Easter. Love you both.

Mija/o, please do not generalize the gay community because of one angry, little man. If he wasn't gay, people would start picking on the fact that he is overweight/fat/obese or, worse, that he is an unwanted Latino and, believe me, we have enough hate on our hands. I don't like Perez Hilton. I really don't and I believe that the way he portrays himself is further degrading the gay and Latin community. He is a walking stereotype who deserves absolutely no attention whatsoever.

You should also keep in mind that Mariah has many, many gay fans! Like heterosexuals, some homosexuals are obnoxious and some are completely and utterly lovely. You should keep in mind that homosexuals are just like heterosexuals and some are, sadly, prone to have biased point of views. Just because you are gay doesn't mean that they are completely open-minded, especially those that are insecure and fight hate with hate.

Wow, Nick! Even though you are Mr. Chairman a.k.a Make-It-Happen, you still keep true to yourself no matter what. That is truly inspiring in itself! I understand where you're coming from and I know that, without a doubt, you will make a difference. We live in a virtual world where technology is all around us and, through that, we sometimes forget the natural world. I really hope you can inspire the kiddos to adopt a "green" or enviornmentalist approach to life because who in the world would want to take their grandkids to the museum and show them a holographic tree and tell them that that was what a tree was like before the onslaught of economic/material/technologoical progress? My family is largely irreligious, although I consider myself incredibly spiritual. You don't have to be religious in order to be spiritual, in my opinion. I do, however, have a large amount of respect for anyone who has faith, whether it is in a supreme diety or themselves (or both). With that said, I really do appreciate the quotes you post on your blog (and twitter). Even if I do not believe in God in the Christian sense, I do believe that what you say is very universal. It is both inspirational and insightful. :)
