Yes people with no income, especially people with no income, can live here at Isla Intersections. The people with the highest need are first in line for this housing. People who were staying on the sidewalk yesterday can move into Isla Intersections the next day (after it is built). I live in Los Angeles so we don't get much of a fall :). I like that it's not 100 degrees F anymore! It's easier to walk outside because it's not as hot. Also I love cooking so I love the seasonal produce - roasting root vegetables like acorn squash and sweet potatoes!

It's right on the "about" page of the USAID website - it says their goal is to further US interests. A US government agency is by definition self-interested. Similarly, the World Bank and IMF are dominated by Western powers. Small agencies and indigenous organizations have found more success in development.

Hi Ted, this is a comment about your poll on lack of interest in non-SYTYCD posts. How do you track your reader's interest? By number of clicks on links or by comments? Speaking for myself, I click on lots of non-SYTYCD stuff, for example, I loved the Cyd Charisse post, I watched the video posted here and then I went and looked her up on Wikipedia and IMDB. I just don't comment a lot.

Hi Ted, Will's audition didn't come across as pretentious to me, in fact to me Nigel's comments were really pretentious and annoying. (Well, you may have noticed I'm not a Nigel fan :) ) I've danced to spoken word before, because I felt inspired by the lyrics, just like sometimes I'm inspired by a song melody. I see it as the same as the stories Mia tells with her dances. To me Will's audition came across as extremely real, like he was trying to communicate something, which to me is the purpose of dance, rather than to show off a skill.
