Being from the Boston area and now living in New Hampshire, The Cars were always a favorite around these parts. This new album is catchy and as familiar in 2011 as it would have been in 1985. I love it! 'Soon' may sound like ''Drive,' but in a good and beautiful way.

It is a beautiful thing to see a humiliated Violette. Sadly, he only feels remorse at being caught. The public sector is full of thieves like Violette and the money-laundering scheme he ran. Those 'poor innocent toll-takers' who are getting coins thrown at them ought to understand that they are an accomplice to theft. Our Director of Homeland Security--Mrs. Butterworth--famously declared, "See something, say something." Well, it took a lot of earth-moving by Dawn Hill to get a noose around Violette's neck when it could have happened quicker and more easily if people within the MTA had spoken up. To say toll takers were 'in the dark' is ludicrous; of course they knew.

This man needs to be stopped. The only people he's 'putting back to work' are public-sector union hacks...no help whatsoever for the private sector. We know now that 'jobs' to a Liberal means public-sector jobs. There will be much laughter at Democrats this year as they plead for votes from people who have stopped buying the drivel. I sincerely hope Lynch and all Democrats lose.

TV stations love flying around in their little winged machines, chasing cars to and fro. It's dangerous and the stations don't have the money any more for such 'luxuries.' One per market is fine, and they can send 'pool' reports for all the TV and radio stations to share.

Give credit to Boston's WHDH for being clairvoyant. They said this weakness would occur and it did. NBC suits went all mafia-like on WHDH and told them to zip it. They did, but you can bet the network has lost a ton of leverage over 'their' affiliates, who now will (and ought to) feel emboldened to go their own way.

In this economy, dining out is seen as a 'discretionary expense' at a time when people don't have much 'discretionary income.' Not every restaurant that goes out of business is a 'bad' one, so let's understand that right away. In the end, the restaurants that can manage to do 'well' in this economy are ones that ought to thrive when things get better.

It's frustrating to see our federal stimulus money going to what many of us see as 'unnecessary' projects. Using 101 as an example, these funds (loudly trumpeted by big green signs) have been used to 're-pave' sections between Manchester and Stratham that are relatively new. Yet there they are, instead of at the stretch of 101 we're talking about here. One of the largest outlays of federal money EVER, supposedly earmarked for 'infrastructure' like this, and all we're told is that improvements to this particular stretch of roadway keep getting pushed out...and out...and out.

I understand that local TV newsers are struggling, but this seems pretty weak. Unless I misunderstand, people send in their photos and WMUR make a book that they then sell for a profit (otherwise, why do it?). Someone else does the work and they make money from it; kind of like what the morning TV news shows do with the 'news' they find in the local newspapers each day. I'm sure it's a nice-looking book and I'm sure the station got the photographers to sign releases, but still...

So hell-bent were they on marginalizing FNC, Obama and his little pals did something dumb. They singled out Fox for things that MSNBC also does. If the merry band of Obama henchmen (and women) took a moment to think things through, they could have taken issue with the '5pm and 9pm' part of Fox rather than painting them with a broad brush and dismissing the entity entirely. But so enraged were they, that they didn't do this. If Anita, Rahm, and the others had mentioned MSNBC and Fox in the same way, Obama would have gotten his 'anti-Fox' point across without looking utterly biased and hypocritical in the process. All he's left with now is his 'bias and hypocrisy,' which is totally obvious for all to see.
