@Mike Sixel I don't believe categorizing is on your end, it's something that usually happens automatically through the firewall or whatever locally. So whatever, Cisco maybe, he's using at work hasn't crawled the site and categorized it yet. Hopefully this should happen automatically in a few days, but I guess it depends.

Trillium Congress street is quicker according to Google Maps, but it does add about 130 minutes to the trip. I wouldn't realistically be able to leave until 8 though, so that makes it somewhat trickier.

so no tasting you mean? yeah, it's probably a silly trip for me. 2:45 one way. But during the day is the only time I'm getting there and i'm hoping to be busy mostly during the day on every wednesday except the next two.

I guess I could try to pick up local MA distribution type stuff in the area too though.

New England Brewing Compnay opens at 3 on wednesday, on way home.

I dropped a bottle of 2016 KBS down the stairs, and it miraculously didn't break. So I drank it (Was planning to anyway) felt a bit off to me.

Finished off my Born Yesterday and Threes Chronic Myopia and Half Acre GoneAway, and had a homebrew pale ale.

I usually just power through it. It's a good time to drink the other 3-5 in the 4-6 pack you bought that you didn't really love anyway with your tastes muted.

yes, unless I stumble across something interesting. Like I grabbed some 4-packs of threes two weeks ago and thought about offering up half for trade but while I was deciding I drank them. oops.

it's too much effort for me most times. And I always want to send too much and break boxes. I think 6-8 is my sweet spot. Six random local stuff that I think's worth trying and 2 homebrews usually.

I enjoy beer from other markets though and it's a fun present to get in the mail, so it's usually worth the effort.

Of course, I also spend more at the store because I don't just go in and buy 6 beers for someone, I get stuff for me too.

The Alementary Figgy Pudding was terrific and even the non-beer people enjoyed their taste.

I also had a 3 year old bottle of Pere Jacques that was very tasty as well.

Got two bottles of Alementary Figgy Pudding, a English ale with prunes, apricots, dates and figs. Heard good thing so far (their first bottle release) so I figured I'd age one

but..

C02 numbers on the bottle! 2.4 puts it on the low side but above most english ales.

In NYC Thursday so got to do some samples/tastes and such.

Grimm Super Spruce - Loved this.
Industrial Arts Power Tools - was good, but dank. This is Jeff O'Neill of Ithaca/Peekskill fame.
Greenpoint Runner - solid porter.
Captain Lawrence Captain's Cocktail - oof, boozy, too rum flavored.
Interboro/3s Bad Meaning Good - solid.
Saint James Plum Stout - Meh
Free Will C.O.B. w/ Peanut Butter - on cask, and a little weird.
Midnight Sun Modern Romance - Peppery. tasty. good stuff.
Hill Farmstead Edward - Just a solid and delicious PA.

Didn't get to hit any breweries on my recent jaunt into NYC but did pick up 2 3s 4packs before 5.

Chronic Myopia is a little classicer, piney, resin. delicious. Unreliable Narrator was juicy and delicious. more citrus than tropical I'd say. some bitterness, just..great.

another bottle or two of Born Yesterday, and Kona Pipeline Porter round out my weekend.

yeah, Total Wines is pretty good about moving inventory it seems, at least the River Edge one I go to, and they're the best at single bottles, which helps.
