What some people see as a tiny issue will actually be a benchmark of who is winning the battle between grocery retailers and liquor stores. Grocery stores would like to sell wine on Sunday, but they still make money if they don't because they have plenty of other products to sell. Liquor stores absolutely do not want to have to staff up and open on Sundays when they won't be able to sell spirits, the source of more than half their revenue in most cases, plus they've gotten used to the day off. But if groceries can sell wine, the liquor stores will feel compelled to compete, even if it's not a profitable proposition. If we do indeed get wine sales on Sundays, that means that the grocery lobby is more powerful than the liquor store lobby.

Great article, but a quick correction: it was the Kostitsyn brothers that made up our Russian circus sideshow. We only had one Radulov, Alexander. Igor played for the Blackhawks. Personally, I say good riddance to the lot of them and bring on P.K.!

Perhaps a grooved railing next to the steps for bicycle tires like they have at Music City Central would at least make walking your bike up the steps a little less cumbersome and avoid blocking traffic. A ramp would certainly be better. (And ADA-friendly)

A TRS-80 Model I with a cassette tape drive that you could pay $20 for tapes with basic programs that took a half hour to load while you watched the asterisk blink. This was a particular favorite:http://www.youtube.com/watc... I copied hundreds of pages of BASIC code into that bad boy. And then I upgraded to...a TRS 80 Model III.

I love my hand juicer. I used to use one of those pointy wooden reamers until a bartender told me that the pith was what made drinks too bitter. (I realize just about everything I've typed so far sounds dirty...)

I'll definitely try the tip of cutting the ends off my limes for extra juicing. I'm a big fan of Dark n' Stormys, so many a lime gets squeezed in my house. Thanks for the info!
