Of course I know this, but it has nothing to do with what age the target audience is - it has to do with spreading bullshit that people then accept as truth. The same goes for the misquotes in memes. My thing is research, so I’m a stickler for citations and dislike when people spread false quotes because people are stupid enough to accept them as fact. Repeating bullshit has replaced critical thinking.

“Speaking of therapeutics or treatments, there’s also extra funding for that. Under the government’s new “Covid-19 Treatments Add-On Payment” program, hospitals get extra money for every Covid-19 patient they treat with one of the FDA approved or Emergency Approved Covid medications.

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, the bonus gives hospitals an incentive to use the medications because prior to Covid, hospitals were not typically reimbursed by Medicare for these expensive drugs. The Covid drugs reimbursed are Remdesivir, Convalescent Plasma, Baricitinib, Molnupiravir and Nirmatrelvir, with incentives for Convalescent Plasma and Remdesivir given for both hospitalized patients and patients receiving the medication in an outpatient infusion center.”

De la Iglesia is a professor of biology at the University of Washington and has done extensive research on sleep behaviors.

De la Iglesia acknowledges that daylight saving time allows for more light in the evening hours, especially in the summer. But around the winter solstice in Seattle, the sun will not rise until closer to 9 a.m., should we be on daylight saving time in the winter. The health impacts could include more seasonal depression due to lack of morning light in wintertime.

"People typically relay daylight saving time with this evening light at the end of the day. But they never experience what it is not to have morning light until 9 in the morning, and that's what's really going to get you in the winter," De la Iglesia said.

He said schoolchildren would feel the impacts in particular.

"Most of their days of school during the year would be in the dark. They would walk into their first period, in the dark," he said.

De la Iglesia said, should there be a desire to get rid of changing clocks twice a year, he suggested staying on standard time permanently, rather than daylight saving time, which he characterizes as an artificial time setting.

"It doesn't make any sense to be in permanent daylight saving time, also as human beings we evolve to be in tune with the solar day, not to be in an artificial time that is one hour away from the solar day," De la Iglesia said.

This is a man who does not live by what he starts out preaching to us in the beginning of the video. He makes assumptions and generalizations about people and beliefs that differ from his own, which is typical of those who have not actually listened what others have to say. Had he done so, he may have been prompted to examine the veracity of the evidence supporting his own flimsy arguments. As a result, his opinions come off as uneducated opinions. Quite sad to see, actually. I would like to add that websites like science-based medicine imply that opinions differing from the status quo are not science-based, they are a lot like Snopes in their function, and this is meant to discredit other research or doctors whose opinions are often more progressive and less compromised by the pharmaceutical industry. This website, which Shermer recommends, fits neatly under that same umbrella of censorship that he claims to be against.

I live in Pearce, AZ, and have seen many Hispanic border patrol people. I am 40 miles north of Douglas, which is a heavily Mexican border town with lots of Mexicans coming across from Agua Prieta to shop at Walmart. There is a checkpoint on Highway 191 that I have to go through at the 30 mile point when traveling north to go back home, and I would say it is about 50/50 between American whites (with some blacks) and Mexicans who work there. I have lived here over 10 years.

I would never take a strange pill from a guy in his apartment or hotel room. What idiot would? If I did and something happened, I would be partially responsable for having made a stupid choice - like going to a frat party in a see-through dress. I do not see any assemblence of accountability coming from any of these women, and didn’t one of them also go on to attend a social event with him after the alleged incident? Their stories are filled with illogical inconsistencies and cries of victimhood from adults who certainly did not grow up under a rock.
