I took a freelancing job that ended up lasting a few months and still was able to get unemployment benefits during our forced 3 week unpaid hiatus over the holidays (when nobody else was hiring). Two weeks probably won't effect your benefits, but make sure you let your temp employer knows to be on the lookout for a letter from the dept of labor. The dept will first send the letter to you and have you send it back to them. Then the dept will send it to your temporary boss who will also need to sign it, confirming that there is no more work for you to do there, and send it back to the department of labor. Hope that helps!

Re: The 405 Club | The Official Unemployment Support Network in New York & Beyond!

This song was the grand finale on my unemployment mega mix I created nearly a year ago! Other favorites on the list - Goodbye to You (scandal), Won't Back Down (Tom Petty) and Believe (the Bravery). Lovin the Music Monday Jeff!

Re: JOB LOSS OUTREACH.

I remember my stages of unemployment! Hopefully I can get some more jobs for 405ers (that don't involve casting women who live like Carrie Bradshaw).

Re: FRIDAY IS THE BEST DAY TO BE UNEMPLOYED.

Janet is not only the Queen of Trailer checks, but the best Flyer Girl on the world. She found many girls in need of a financial makeover for my very hard to cast show. People in my office can't stop raving about how many calls we got because of her. Go Janet!
