MANY atheists are trying to squash religious freedom and religion in general. You may not be, but state it as such. Do not attempt to make off like there isn't religious persecution, especially against Christians, by atheists or their respective organizations. I am not a religious person, don't belong to a church, don't care to. However, there needs to be truth spoken or society breaks down. I do not wish to be a party to that.

Re: 2015 Ford Mustang to boast futuristic styling, updated suspension

apparently not, idiot, according to popular opinions shown here. Which,by the way,is what sells cars in large measure. your subjective opinion is the least popular in the entire line up of posts I have read. The subjective opinions of the majority buying public say you are wrong.

Re: 2015 Ford Mustang to boast futuristic styling, updated suspension

Uh. no,we don't We are evaluating it from a standpoint of 1. comparison to a real mustang. and 2. style and the emotional connection it gives us. We don't need to read a single word to make that evaluation other than what the description is. I.E. mustang.

Re: 2015 Ford Mustang to boast futuristic styling, updated suspension

I agree with most enthusiasts who's posts I have read here. It is NOT a mustang. Perhaps under it's own name plate it might be a compelling design to some. I find it an insult to the mustang lineage and name. As a MUSTANG it is a big LOSER!. Make it a stand alone name and try it out. I wouldn't expect huge returns. It isn't that nice in my opinion. But what do I know, I am just a market consumer.

Re: Adam Carolla tears OWS, ‘millennials’ a new one

Amen! Go ahead, ask 10 people tomorrow who you don't know, random strangers, what the hell is going on on wall street and see what answers you get. Also, glenn is not blowing the CURRENT exercise in imbecility into Armageddon, he is warning us all not to dismiss it because it has the potential to erupt into something much bigger and more destructive if ignored and left to it's own devices. Grow up and get a brain.

Re: Wasted Ron Paul Supporter

Look. I love my fellow Americans who are Ron Paul supporters. In fact, I myself really like Ron Paul. I believe him to be be an honest, intelligent and devoted constitutionalist. I have mixed feelings about his being president. On the one hand, he would definately support the constitution and go after the fed, etc, etc. On the other hand, he does seem to have a scary sort of bent on foreign policy. I agree that constitutionaly, and philosophicly we should not be all over the world militerizing entire regions and fighting all sorts of wars. I believe his approach to withdrawal from the current theaters of war seem to me to be a little unrealistic. If I understand him corectly, he would push for immediate withdrawal from all current conflicts. That seems to me to be a little too quickly to prevent a repeat of the last ten years. I also am fearful that his stance on iran is just a bit to lazafaire. That nation and it's current leadership and yes, islam itself, pose grave danger to everyone on this planet. It's one thing to stick up for your civil liberties and I do. It is entirely different to commit suicide to prove your loyalty to ideas that your enemy simply does not recognize in the least. I understand and believe that the constitution is more than simply ideas. It is based on principles. However, the old saying that there is an exception to every rule may need to be applied here and there to bridge the gap between theroy and reality. Don't give me the old Ben Franklin line about liberty either. I love Ben. I believe he was a great man of intellect and principle and wisdom. But I don't think he would fall on his sword for the rights of murderers, slave keepers and tortures of an evil religious sect. Yes, i said evil. Their actions speak louder than their words which are also damning. So, to argue that we need to extend to every man woman and child who wants to kill us, every opportunity and loop hole to accomplish their madness is insanity itself. It is your job now to convince us with intelligent debate and not fourth grade posturing and name calling that he or you are not a danger in this regard. This man in the video clearly has done all constitutionalist everywhere a completet diservice by demeaning it and setting it and those who support it up to look like complete kooks who find no need for any laws whatsoever. Freedom and responsibility are two sides of the same coin. If one is lost the other will falter and fail as well.

Re: Glenn’s Travel Log

To John Angst: It would be wrong for me to judge your intent here, but I feel justified in suggesting to you that you look inward to find the fault in your message to Pam. It appears you are angry at her for something she is not guilty of. Her ignorance( and I use the term literaly and with all due respect and love) of the details of the events are not unique. Many of us,myself included have never dug into the gory details of that horrifying period. We know the basics and imagination supplied some of the disturbing truths as we understood them. Simply because we have not done all of the research that you have done, does not make us any the less disgusted by the truth and surely not less sympathetic to our brothers and sisters who had to endure and die at the hands of evil. Please do not cheapen the mood being displayed here by claiming moral superiority over the ignorant such as I. Why not use your vast knowledge to enlighten your brothers and sisters to the truth in a loving way. After all, it was the feeling of superiority that layed the ground work for such evil to flourish. I suggest some introspection and perhaps an appology to Pam and others here lest you be judged by a measure you could not meet. Please take this advice with the brotherly love it is intended to be taken with. The wise will be entreatable but the wicked and small will be blinded by pride. God bless Glenn and his family and the souls of all those who passed through those gates.
john f.

Re: What Will You Stand For? Take the Pledge of Principles

I'll stand with Glenn on this challenge and I pray for Gabrielle Giffords and all those victims and their families. The senseless violence of a clearly incoherent and mad man cannot be understood in a logical or human way. It is deplorable and has no place in a civil society. Are we still a civil society? I pray we are and I pray for the full recovery of our Congress woman. Yes, OUR Congress woman, a U.S Representative whether you agree with her or not,she is one of us and she is a human being. A sister to us all

Re: Study Ranks Americas Most Liberal and Conservative Cities

Phil Reiff, a BACVR director,says...
BACVR researchers found a direct correlation between a citys political ideology and its racial makeup. The great political divide in America today is not red vs. blue, north vs. south, costal vs. interior or even rich vs. poor it is now clearly black vs. white.
I say, that black vs. white or any of the other stuff you listed here, except in an abstract way,red vs.blue, are not political ideologies! Your premise as explained, in this quote is wrong. If you are trying to arrive at a particular conclusion about which city is most one way or the other as far as politics goes, you are answering the wrong question here in this pulled quote. Do you want to know about a cities politics or are you interested in its racial make up? Or perhaps, are you really interested in finding out, as I suspect, what ideology has to do with a demographics politics, prosperity and rates of crime or the ability for people in that demographic to be self sufficient and live as "middle class" citizens? Seems to me,save for the college type towns full of liberal itellectuals,(limosine liberals) that every where average liberal leaning or staunch liberal ideolgy is the coin of the realm, that those peoples and cities are always far more ummm, less desireable places to live, based on expected income/employment and education opportunities. Seems also that the criminal activities tends to trend in the direction of say, an undesireable direction. The political divide is as it always has been. Haves and have nots, pitted against each other instead of the have nots taking a cue from the haves and learning to become self reliant and civilized, they just decide the way to go is to villify the haves and take from them their property and rights under the color of law making their theft of the well to do appear to be legitimate but we all know that stealing is stealing,no matter how many levels of politicians you insulate yourself with in the process.
