This is probably more legalese than you care about but the injunction really ought to be barred due to laches.

As I understand it, Fox let WB basically make the entire film without objecting. They can't ask the court to now bar the release of the film after standing idly by while WB sunk serious costs into the production. Nonetheless, they can probably collect shitloads of cash in damages after the film comes out.

I saw your post yesterday, so I caught that. That's why I jumped on your comment today.

Anyone deeply involved enough to care probably gets their industry news elsewhere. I don't see the harm in a personal blog initially getting it wrong when taking a quick stab at a nascent rumor. Christ, practically a third of the content here is just Pete's grainy iPhone pictures. Ripping on the editorial standards of this sort of stream-of-consciousness posting is absolutely pointless.

This is Pete's personal blog, it's not some sort of major industry publication. The appropriate scope and detail of a post should depend on the context in which it appears. I'm sure it deserves extensive coverage somewhere, but this probably isn't the place, and simply mentioning it in passing doesn't oblige Pete to elaborate at length.

You're obviously pretty galled by the situation but you're taking it out on someone in a ridiculously unfair way.
