Most of the coverage I've seen since returning from Chicago has been a focus on the amount of swag and the sponsorships some of the individual bloggers landed, but in a negative light.

I travel fequently and have to comment that it was vastly entertaining, in a positive way, to see so many women gather together to have a great time while learning about how to run their businesses. Many of them stay close to the homefront, managing their families and their blogs. They have turned a hobby into a way to supplement their incomes, and also as an opportunity to see a new city and network in real life. Isn't that what the social in social media is all about?

Sure, there are always a few bad apples in the bunch, as in any industry. There's no way around it. But media is media, no matter the form of delivery. The game is the same, it just has a new set of players. It sounds as if your company is ahead of the game already:)

ShannonLane.com

Re: Threatened at BlogHer

George - So sorry that someone thought they could blackmail you or even just say something nasty like that. As someone who has been threatened in a similar way recently ("if you don't do what we say, we'll publicly embarass you"), I feel your pain. You handled it like the pro you are. If she did it to you, she probably pulled this on someone else and got away with it.

Just remember, Karma is a boomerang. - Big Hugs from your Louisiana friend.

Re: Travel Like a Rock Star Joe’s Jeans Giveaway

Seesmic video reply from Disqus.

Re: Interview with a Traveling Mama - Anya Clowers

Great interview.
