There are certainly other, more dangerous things available that aren't criminalized, and I wonder why.

Re: Cannabis Reform Coalition’s Take on Question 2

I'm elated to hear of this reform. I've often wondered how marijuana or salvia can be illegal (or potentially so) and yet, alcohol and over the counter cold medications cause more impairment and are legally sold in the US. I'd be interested to see stats on the number of accidents and mortalities that result from someone driving under the influence of nyquil!

Re: Embargoes are not broken, and long may they reign

But do embargoes remove the competitive spirit that motivates many writers?

Re: Kombucha: tastes like feet and coming to a store near you

Interesting take on Kombucha and I too wonder if the author has even tried it.

Re: Texas tries to ban Salvia Divinorum

What isn't addressed is the dangerous effects of alcohol, or even over the counter cold medications, which can be more hazardous than any illegal drug. Salvia has NOT been found to have any addictive properties. People have been using it for thousands of years and is safe, when used occasionally. Responsible adults who wish to use Salvia shouldn't have to have their choices questioned, given the number of legal substances that are available.
