Property taxes are not a bad way to fund things, as long as they don't get out of control.

The real issue in the vast majority of places is education spending, which is insane, but supported by an electorate that rubber stamps ANYTHING "for the children."

Gut teacher unions. Abolish school districts and pass universal school choice (vouchers, education savings accounts, etc.) Charterize individual schools, making principals responsible for outcomes.

Gut America's corrupt public education and property taxes will go down.

Here are the facts. While Elon is off base with his party antics, he is 100% correct that the debt is long past manageable without spending cuts.

Real spending cuts, like $1 Trillion or more.

Neither party has the guts, and Trump's bill while necessary in terms of making 2017 changes permanent, has too much tax cutting and not enough spending cuts.

I blame the GOP rank and file for this more than Trump, but it has to said.

Trump should have spent his large political capital for spending cuts in 2025 (which is popular with voters), used deregulation to goose the economy, and used tax cuts in 2026.

Shitting on Elon is stupid, as it is Elon who did more than any others to make sure Trump won 2024.
