you're so right regarding take out... pardon us for making the bartender or hostess take time from folding napkins and place settings to have to put some containers in a bag and tie 5 different knots in the bag... that's real deserving of a tip

if you frequent a place for take out, it's one thing to tip. you see the people all the time and you get used to them. if I'm getting take out from a place I rarely go to, no tip on the take out. I don't tip the taco bell or McDonald's guy for pouring my soda and putting fries in the holster for me, why would I tip John or Sally for basically doing the same thing? They're done and on to the next thing and having spent MAYBE 5 minutes on my order - 2 on the phone/inputting it in the POS, 2 walking to the back to get it, 1 bagging it and setting it on the ice machine at the bar or hostess station.

Danny Ferry has taken advantage of the current CBA with the deals he's made. Bailed out by the CBA with his bad signings (Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall, Damon Jones). He made a mistake by not trying to trade Shaq and his expiring as well. Now, going into the next 2 years, he will not have good enough expiring deals to make "shrewd" moves.

Amar'e was the way to go, losing JJ or not. JJ barely plays now that Jamison is on the team, and he certainly can't be the center going into next season. So you mortgage the future, and JJ's happiness, for 1 year of a title run in the hopes that it'll cause LeBron to think twice before leaving??

The owner will pay whatever, but the GM had to set up the money situation by offering bad contracts in the first place. We shall see this offseason my friend.
