I think this post is just the inspiration I needed to explode that log jam of writers block (or just plain avoidance) that I have been experiencing.

Re: Writing Creative Briefs Part 4 of 4: Web Site Architecture

Absolutely - I would consider it a compliment. Also if you would like me to expand on it or guest blog about my approach to communication development, I would be happy to.

Re: A Busload of Energy Saving Ideas

David, that's a pretty smart item - very much unrelated to this post but who am I to rail against shameless self promotion. Can you give me some more information on the product, how many you have sold and how it is being distributed and where people can obtain it?

Re: Social Search Aardvark Sniffs-Out Expert Answers

@rob, you are welcome. Thank you for signing me up. I have been waiting with baited breath for some time. Of course you do have the benefit of being on my radar as I love everything Aardvark: http://www.aardvarktongue.com

Re: Gaming the Natural Search System

I agree in that I do not believe the end justifies the means. What it tells me is that the company is insincere in its efforts to "engage in the conversation" of social media. This is also borne out by the fact that their website does not have a blog or any open way of interacting with the firm. Very hollow indeed.

Re: Killing the Phone Book to Save the Environment

Yes, it is absolutely amazing isn't it. It is a tragedy that we are
constantly inundated with so much junk mail from so many sources that
we can't opt out of or stop. At least with phone books we can pinpoint
where the source is and we should be able to reduce that waste. My hat
is off to Phillip - he is doing our environment a great service.

Re: Taylor Davidson Photography

Lovely, just lovely.
I love the desert, but but it took a long time to develop that relationship.

Re: Killing the Phone Book to Save the Environment

@ John Hunter, you make a good point. Many online directories are not nearly as useful as the good old Yellow Pages. Philip Cantwell did make the point to me that his goal is not to eliminate the Yellow Pages, it is merely to let individuals that do not want to receive the book, the option not to. It is silly that we are generating nearly 500 million books a year for a nation of just over 300 million people.
