Students might be forced to leave classes early but workers don't have that option. There is currently no late-night service to and from the St. Boniface Hospital, for instance; lower income workers like porters, cleaners, security, etc. who get off shift at 11 PM now have to walk nearly a quarter mile to catch the nearest frequent stop bus on st. Mary's Road.. That's after a long shift, possibly in the depths of winter, through inadequately cleared sidewalks in a less safe neighbourhood where parking is too expensive and scarce for many!
