Well so much has happened. Didn't do well in college. Would keep going but cannot afford it. Started to realize the way I see thing may not be normal. More and more i am frustrated that people do not think the way I do. Not too long ago I started to pick up some bad rage issues as a result. Managed to get over that and adopt a more apathetic outlook instead. Instead of being frustrated I had to accept that people are disappointing, generally speaking, as such I am somewhat more genuinely cynical. The way I look at things and do things has led me to desire a career in the military instead of one in the social service field.
However I will say that generally i am fairly content! My wife is a real gem(She has managed to work through some of her issues... She and i have a long way to go yet.), and my kid take the best of me.
I lost 80lbs since the start of the year, started working out and plan to join up. I just worry it's too late to start something in a radically different direction. 26 feels pretty old to me.
Enough about me ol chum. How about you?

I make friends with assholes all the time, but not many of them have hearts of gold buried under the cynicism and perverse wit! I suppose there just aren't any substitutes!

Well I love all 3, and have read the light novels they are based on. Of them all i must say Legendary moonlight Sculptor(LMS from here on out) is by far my favorite. It's writing is a league above the other 2, which suffer from a crippling lack of foresight( at about volume 10 both suffer serious plot issues), while LMS stays strong as far as I read (20 volumes-ish translated).

These are just dull opinions however! let me try to sell you a little on it! The main character is called Weed-nim(or at least that's his gaming name). Named after weeds like the most worthless plants, not the slang for MJ. He is not a bad guy, but growing up in super shitty EXTREME poverty has made me into a man with intense focus and discipline, ESPECIALLY when it comes to money.

The story mostly takes place in a VR game. Like Sword Art Online, but without it being super shitty and the protagonist being a whiny Mary Sue bitch. Also the story progression is far superior, non of this horseshit of "Level 4 in episode 3, level 40 in episode 4". I need to slow down or this will just become a SAO rant... Fuck that show.

It is being released as a Webcomic kinda deal, just like Tower of God. So the art is actually pretty great.

Yo! Fusion ol buddy! If you find the time(I know how busy you keep bro, seriously), would you update Left hand of God Right hand of Devil? I morbidly enjoy the justice that kid doles out to the monsters in that series. There is a few others i would be delighted to see an update on if you could swing it. Highschool of the Dead, Satansister, and Apocalypse no Toride to name a couple. What can i say? I dig my over the top horror stories.

I have been following the trials and tribulations of the characters from the "Baki the Grappler" series for some time now(as one would indulgently watch a soap opera), and this most recent update was wonderful news. i am just now to chapter 250 and it has taken a very strange turn... Stranger even than a super strong, t-rex eating, cave man named pickles.

I too picked up on the glaring ques for time travel.... Very strange direction so early in this story.

I have always been here GS, always. Since before the chat("I promise to adopt a kitten for every post!" - a an anonymous well loved idiot), through my own personal ups and downs, and then longer still. I just watch you and Fusion chat about this and that, and read manga. Perhaps I will be more active within the community of my favorite website and homepage. How about that One Punch man! Easily one of the best series running. Definitely in my top 5, and that is no simple list!

I finally read Toriko and i must say... it was delicious. I decided to give Magi The labyrinth a shot and I am quite enjoying it. It is not unlike a D&D game set in the desert.

You have some valid points but as for me I usually grasp what is going on early and am rarely wrong for my own taste. For example? I loved Claymore RIGHT off the bat and never regretted it. It has to do with how I interpreted the art style (not the drawing skill but the way the art is presented) and the story telling style (not the active story but HOW the story is told).
What REALLY put me off was the constant loli pose shots of little miss mary sue.

I tried James, I really did. I simply cannot read Narutaru... I only managed 20 or so pages and almost every one that was not an unusual bird-alien plane had some type of candid pose shot of the unlikable girl main character. I will not down vote it though as perhaps there are some here who will enjoy it and for them I am glad. I would love another series to devour just about now.

Dorohedoro... How do you speak of this series? For me, at least, certainly not with neutrality I could shower it with simple praise but when i make the effort my voice fails, as if my own body rejects such weak praise. i suppose I will at least try to speak of what i thought it's greatest quality to be: it is utterly surprising. When I started reading it I was put off by the rough art and what i assumed was plain old simple gore focused story. I have only ever once mistaken a great story so erroneously and that was "Greatest Fucking Story of All Time" Berserk. I think you see how that came to conclusion. In my, possibly pointless, opinion i weigh manga in a kind of internal grading scale. It was useful until i ran into the story of Berserk and so i decided that i could not grade Berserk and so it was above my system altogether,as such I take the series dreadfully serious(you do not mock or parody or fanfic fucking Berserk in front of me), This idea held together with Berserk as the exception to the rule until i ran into another masterful epic: Battle Angel Alita. Given that i do not take it as seriously(probably as i do not relate to it on a personal level like Berserk), but still it cannot possibly be counted among the other manga. indeed these 2 series are not just excellent manga but are in fact simply great literature. Having discovered Dorohedoro only recently I know I count it among them. To quote a great movie "First there is the rule, then there is the exception to the rule, then the exception becomes the rule." I do not grade other manga or concern myself with its quality, only enjoy it on a simpler level.

*edit* I am aware how,at time, i tend to blather on to great extent, but i love this site and its community. I just feel like expressing myself here more than anywhere else.

I am not a person who feels fear naturally.. I am in no way attempting to boast, for reference i believe it comes from an abusive childhood that conditionally desensitized me to "feeling" things the same way my friends do(though I am far from "dead inside"). I say this as a preface in the hopes of establishing scale when I say that Ibitsu left quiet the impression on me.
At first I simply found it unnerving though a tad dramatic, but by the end it had me well and unsettled. Thank you for the good read James, you always know how to pick them.

What? I mean what? Have you read berserk perhaps? Glanced at it maybe? Guts and Griffith "team up"? Wow yea hmmm.... I'm pretty sure, no wait I am fucking certain that will never happen and you know nothing about this manga if you think differently, I don't care if God is threatening to destroy all of existence, the only reason Guts would stop him is because he might not get to kill Griffith himself. I mean that's the whole point man Guts is not some chump cliche shonen goody hero, he's fucking Guts and he will pay any price ANY FUCKING PRICE to see Griffith dead.
